It is with heartbreaking sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dear friend, brother in Christ and former Captain of the 5th Plymouth - Trevor Heale.
Trevor started his Boys' Brigade journey in the Lifeboys, working his way up through the sections and ranks to eventually become Captain. He ran an active company programme over the years, as well as participating in Battalion, District and National events.
Following the company restarting in 2011, Trevor was an avid supporter and mentor to us, especially in the early years. His friendship and guidance to the team was energetic and immeasurable as we navigated our new journey together.
In later years, Trevor also served as Plymouth Battalion Secretary, Devon Battalion Secretary and a West of England District Representative. He was passionate about supporting events in the wider BB community and building those BB friendships. He firmly believed in the promotion of the Boys' Brigade and the furthering of Christ's Kingdom to all young people.
There are far too many memories for us to mention but his visits to camp for his annual crumble pudding will always be a highlight. His enthusiasm and ability to bring everyone together with plenty of laughter and mischief will be sorely missed.
Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with Yvonne, Gilly and Alex, and the rest of the family at this incredibly sad time. We also remember his friends at Mount Gould Methodist Church and wider BB family.
Rest in peace my dear friend, your work here is done.
Charlotte Badock,
Captain 5th Plymouth.
