Thanks to everyone who came to Quiet Spaces at St Mary’s, Plympton where we discussed and shared the theme of ‘love in war and peace’ - written beautifully by Rev Judy. Thanks to Judy and Jenny H for leading, and Di and those at St Mary's who helped in the organisation and refreshments. It was so lovely to see Judy back leading! Also huge thanks to Linda O for bringing and organising all the books in our library. And thanks of course to everyone who came!

Another special time as we discussed and shared within our group. We looked at how lucky we are compared to the day to day living of those suffering war, and how we must not take it for granted. And we looked at God's role in war and peace and how we must also look at the kindness that occurs. Linda played her amazing singing bowl, which set us up so well for our silence.

Our next meeting will be 10.30am Friday 26 June at St Anne's Church in Glenholt with a theme of 'The Little Flower' - a focus on St Therese of Lisieux and being ordinary.

Thanks to everyone who came to Quiet Spaces at St Anne's - our theme was 'Spring Renewal.' A big thank you to Linda and Grace for leading, and to Grace for the refreshments, setting up the zoom, and the wonderful photos of the garden. Also a big shout out to Grace and her team for the work they do making the wild garden such a delight, and thanks to Linda for playing her singing bowl to everyone.

Spring is very much here. In winter we waited – a time of such hard work with all of life’s activities and the resurgence occurring out of sight. Henri Nouwen taught that waiting is not a passive, wasted time, but an active, hopeful, and patient discipline. He taught that true waiting means living in the present moment while believing that "something hidden there will manifest itself". And if we look out of the window we can see all of creation coming to life
