What a wonderful Sunday together as a church family! ❤️

This week we had the joy of dedicating children. Child dedication is a special moment where parents publicly commit to raising their children to know and follow Jesus, while the church commits to supporting, encouraging, and praying for them along the way. It’s a beautiful reminder that we all have a part to play in helping the next generation grow in faith.

We also began our new sermon series, "God's Desire for the Church," as we journey through 2 Timothy together. In a world full of competing voices, Paul's words to Timothy remind us to remain faithful to Christ, hold firmly to God's Word, and live out our calling as His church.

We're so grateful for all that God is doing among us and loved celebrating these special moments together.

This Sunday, we were delighted to welcome Adrian Birks from The Community Church, Honiton, as he launched our new sermon series in 2 Timothy.

Drawing from 2 Timothy 1:1–12, Adrian encouraged us to "fan into flame" the gifts God has placed within each of us. It was a powerful reminder that we all have unique gifts, abilities, and opportunities to make a difference—and that these are not meant to remain hidden or unused.

What if this Sunday surprised you?

Not because life suddenly got easier. Not because you finally had everything sorted.
But because you encountered Jesus in a way you weren’t expecting.

Across our city, there’s a big invitation to give church a try this week. And that’s brilliant, but the truth is that every Sunday is a chance to try church.

If you’ve never been, haven’t been for years, or you’re not quite sure where you stand with faith anymore, this invitation is for you.

You don’t need to know what to say. You don’t need to know the songs. You don’t need to have everything together before you walk through the doors.

Just come. Come and explore faith. Come and hear about Jesus. Come and discover the hope, grace and purpose that so many people have found in Him.

This Sunday might be the Sunday you decide to give church a try. And if not, we’ll be here next Sunday too. Because every Sunday is an opportunity to encounter Jesus.

You’re so welcome whenever you’re ready.

Live with the end in sight!

This week, Jordan unpacked 1 Timothy 6:17–21 and challenged us to consider what we’re really investing our lives in.

The world tells us to accumulate more, but God’s Word calls us to something greater:

➡️ Be rich in good works.
➡️ Be generous and willing to share.
➡️ Store up treasure as a good foundation for the coming age.

Sunday’s message from Jonny out of 1 Timothy 6:11 was such a strong challenge and encouragement for us as a church — to be a people who run, fight, and hold on.

Run from the things that pull us away from God. Fight for faith, holiness, righteousness, and integrity in a world that constantly pulls us in the opposite direction. And hold tightly to the eternal life and calling we’ve been given in Christ.

What stood out most was the reminder that following Jesus isn’t passive. Paul’s words to Timothy paint a picture of intentional faith — pursuing God wholeheartedly, standing firm when things are difficult, and refusing to let go of the truth.

A healthy church isn’t built on comfort or convenience, but on people who keep running after God, keep fighting the good fight of faith, and keep holding on even when life gets hard.

Really grateful for the challenge this Sunday. So much to reflect on and put into practice this week. 🙏

A few moments from Men’s Days this weekend.

It was great to have men together from Redeemer Plymouth, Redeemer Saltash, Redeemer Tavistock and the new church plant in St Barnabas Terrace — epic food on Friday night, supplied by Matt from and then a really solid Saturday looking at what it means to be Men of the Spirit.

In a world that tells men to be self-made, self-reliant and self-sufficient, the Bible shows us something very different. The strongest men in scripture weren’t the ones who had it all together, but the ones who knew they couldn’t do it without God. They were led, filled and shaped by the Holy Spirit.

Really thankful for everyone who came, served, spoke, led worship and prayed over the weekend.

Not religion. Not pretending to have life sorted. Not “church people only”.

Just real people, real hope, real community — and a chance to encounter the One who still changes lives.

If you’ve got questions about faith, if life feels heavy, if you’re curious, cynical, hopeful, lost, rebuilding, or just looking for something more… come along.

And if you already follow Jesus?
Come expectant. Bring someone. Pray for someone.

Doors open: 10am
Service starts: 10:30am

What is true wealth?

This Sunday we were reminded that real gain isn’t found in having more — it’s found in “godliness with contentment.”

In a world constantly telling us to chase more, God calls us to live differently:
To trust His provision
To hold loosely to the things of this world
To pursue generosity, faith, and love
To invest in what lasts forever

“Contentment isn’t settling for less—it’s realising that in Christ, you already have more than enough.”

We’re praying that God continues to shape us into a church that reflects His generous heart.

Jesus doesn’t say, “Fix yourself first and then come to me.”

He says: “Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28

The rest Jesus offers is deeper than a quiet moment or a better week. It’s the rest of being known, forgiven, and welcomed by grace.

You do not have to earn your way to God.
Jesus came for weary people.

If you’re looking for hope, community, or simply a place to encounter Jesus, we’d love to welcome you this Sunday at 10:30am.

It’s the local elections in Plymouth today - Pray With Us!

God,
Today we lift up our city of Plymouth to You.

As we vote in the local elections, we pray for wisdom, honesty, and compassion for every person involved. Guide those who are chosen to lead, and help them serve with integrity and humility.

Bring peace where there is division, hope where people feel overlooked, and unity across our communities.

We also pray for every person carrying worries today — about family, finances, health, or the future. Remind us that You are present in every part of our city and every part of our lives.

Help us to be people who bring kindness, patience, love and light wherever we go this week.

Amen 🙏

“I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity.” 1 Timothy 2:1-2 (The Bible)
