Remember to check your route if you’re planning on joining us tomorrow morning. Lots of roads will be closed around Plymouth Methodist Central Hall. We hope everyone running has a great time!
🚧 Road Closure information – Sunday 17 May 2026 🚧
Plymouth is set to host Devon’s biggest day of running as we welcome thousands of participants and supporters to the Hoe promenade for Britain’s Ocean City Running Festival — now officially sold out! 🙌
Last year, this incredible event helped raise over £750,000 for charities across the UK, and we’re excited to build on that impact once again, bringing people from across the country to see our wonderful city and experience the best we have to offer.
To ensure the safety of everyone, from participants to spectators — road closures will be in place on Sunday 17 May. These are carefully planned to create a safe, enjoyable environment for all. By taking note of the closures in advance, you can plan your day and ensure you avoid any issues.
These road closures are delivered by our professional Traffic Management team, who will also be operating CCTV at closure points to support safety across the route.

We know road closures can be disruptive, but they play a vital role in delivering a safe and successful event and we’d love your support in helping spread the word.
📢 Please share this message so everyone can plan ahead and be part of a fantastic day for Plymouth!
