✨ Another inscription repaint completed ✨

I’ve recently had the privilege of repainting this beautiful grave inscription in gold and I’m so pleased with how it has turned out. 💛

With the weather changing and more rain around, timing really is everything when it comes to this type of work. The rain can make things tricky, so choosing the right conditions is so important to achieve the best finish possible. 🪦

It’s lovely to see the difference the fresh gold lettering has made. The inscription is now much clearer, brighter and easier to read, giving the grave the care and attention it deserves. 🤍

I’ve included some before and after photos so you can see the difference for yourselves.

The cooler weather is starting to arrive, making the cleaning process a little easier and what a transformation this headstone has had! 🤍

It’s always lovely to see the difference a thorough clean can make, bringing the marble back to a much brighter and cleaner finish.

I had the privilege of cleaning a grave at Weston Mill Cemetery, dating back to 1924.

I’d like to say a huge thank you to the family for sharing the story behind this grave with me. ❤️ It’s such a sad story 😔 and hearing it really reminds you that behind every headstone is a person, a life and a family who cared deeply.

I’m truly glad I was able to play a small part in bringing this grave back to a clean, tidy and respectful condition once again. 🕊️

It may only look like a clean grave to some, but to a family, it can mean so much more. ❤️

Today’s grave clean and new inscription ✨

After carefully removing any flaky and loose paint from the lettering and giving the headstone a thorough clean, I repainted the lettering to bring the inscription back to life.

It was a beautiful day to be out in the sunshine, with a lovely gentle breeze helping the fresh paint to dry nicely. ☀️🌿

Another headstone cleaned, cared for and looking fresh again. 💙

Today’s grave clean at Hooe, Plymstock 🌿

The sun has dried the grass out and it’s all dead, but somehow the weeds are still happily growing! 🌱😂

After a good tidy-up, the grave was looking much more cared for again. 🪦🕊️⛪️

It was really windy at the cemetery today, the breeze was actually a welcome change! 🌬️☀️

With the sunshine, the stunning views across Lee Moor and the peaceful surroundings, it was one of those days that reminds you how special this work can be. Every inscription is carried out with care and respect, helping to preserve the memory of loved ones for years to come.

A huge thank you to the family for trusting me with this work. They were considering replacing the memorial with a new headstone, but after seeing the results of the deep clean and restored inscription, they no longer needed to.

Hearing the customer’s reaction made it even more rewarding. He told me that before the restoration he felt ashamed of the condition of the headstone, but now he’s absolutely over the moon with how it looks. Comments like that make all the hard work worthwhile and remind me why I take such pride in restoring and preserving memorials with the care and respect they deserve.

What a transformation 💛

This marble book memorial had years of built-up dirt and grime hiding its beauty. After a careful deep clean, it’s looking so much fresher and brighter.

The best part is still to come 💥
I can’t wait to repaint the inscription, which will really make the lettering stand out and complete the restoration. It’s always satisfying to help preserve these special memorials for families and future generations. 🪦✨

Another day at work today, tending four plots across two cemeteries. 🌿 🪦 🕊️

The sunshine has been beautiful ☀️, although cutting the grass in this heat can leave it looking dry and brown. Thankfully, nature has a way of bouncing back and within a few weeks it’s fresh, green and growing again.

It’s all part of caring for these peaceful resting places and keeping them looking their best. 💚
