DRAFT LOCAL PLAN REGULATION 19 CONSULTATION UPDATE

Dear Residents

It’s been a busy few weeks formulating and putting together the Regulation 19 Parish Council submissions for the 7 Cheddington sites. A big thank you to everyone who has helped. The individual representations have now been uploaded to the Buckinghamshire Council OPUSConsult platform. We will of course keep you posted regarding any updates.

The Clerk is now going to take a well earned break! So please note she is on annual leave from Friday 4th September and back to work on Monday 14th September.

The Parish Council would like to take this opportunity to thank all the volunteers of the Cheddington Action Group (CAG) for giving up their valuable time to collate the single village submission.

CAG’s website for updates is:

Dear Residents

After last night's meeting at the Village Hall, hosted by Cllrs Poll and Brazier, the Parish Council has been asked to re-post this map from the sites survey in March 26. It clearly indicates at that stage the 'New Town' and 'Cheddington' sites (blue) were not included in the potential supply!

LOCAL PLAN FOR BUCKINGHAMSHIRE SITES SURVEY

Dear Residents

A reminder that the survey closing date is Monday 16th March 2026. If you want to have a say on the sites for Cheddington please complete this survey. Please note that here are also hard copies in Masons shop if you do not wish to complete on line.

Please note there are 7 sites you can comment on - Unfortunately each site requires a separate survey submission.

Key
RED outline = discounted sites

GREEN = could go forward unless there are good reasons not to do so - 5 sites with reference numbers
Please note that part of the land, with site reference no OPUS720 Land West of Reynold Mead, is in the Cheddington Neighbourhood Plan for future development.

BLUE = due to have further analysis and may not necessarily go forward - No site reference numbers so use 'Cheddington' and 'Cheddington New Town'

We have included a map from the above interactive map detailing the OPUS reference nos and post codes that you will require. Much easier if you have this beside you when you are completing the surveys!

Buckinghamshire Best Kept Village 2026 - Result
DeFraine Cup

Dear Residents

After winning BBKV 3 years in a row this year we finished joint runner up. Steeple Claydon won this year in our group. We have been advised that the standard was high.

The judges had some lovely comments - pleased to see a high level of community engagement, the graveyard and war memorial are highly commendable being well tended and very tidy. They commented on the well maintained tidy play area and bus shelter. Overall the general environment is tidy and well maintained. Very little litter and no dog fouling seen. The Judges were impressed with the quality of the competition submission including the excellent map.

The Parish Council would like to thank Keith and Stuart, the village 'handyfolk' and Mary who looks after the war memorial as it is obvious that without them we would not be able to even enter the BBBV competition.

Thanks all.
