Thursday (13th) the worldwide church remembers the Ascension of Jesus. We’ll be thinking about this at a quiet communion service at 10am tomorrow. We’ll also be thinking about the Ascension on Sunday when our worship is at 8am, Holy Communion (BCP), 9.45am, Worship for All Ages with Holy Communion and at 6.30pm Evensong.

We hope you are enjoying your Easter break!

It was fantastic to see so many come to our craft morning on Good Friday - we counted over eighty of you of all differing ages.

Tomorrow (Sunday) we celebrate Jesus' resurrection - 8am Holy Communion (BCP) or 9.45am Worship for All Ages.

Looking forward to celebrating with you!

So, Good Friday. Families, come and explore this part of the Easter Story through craft, story and song: 10am to 11.30am. Then a traditional reflective service with bible readings and hymns takes place for an hour from 2pm.

Firstly, don't forget the clocks change tonight - big implications for church in the morning!

Tomorrow (Sunday), we focus on Jesus' arrival into Jerusalem before that first Easter (8am and 9.45am, both Holy Communion). The day is known as Palm Sunday and small palm crosses will be offered to all who come.

Then our story-telling slows down as we journey through the events of the Last Supper and Jesus' arrest (Thursday evening - concluding with the Tenebrae readings), his crucifixion (Good Friday morning and afternoon) and then as we celebrate Jesus' resurrection on Easter Sunday. Here are details of our services over the Easter weekend.

Actually, if you've never journeyed with a church community through the different parts of the Easter story, why not do so this year? It does give fresh insight into the bible story as a whole.
