2026. CHILDREN’S DAY MINISTRATION
“THE ARMOUR OF GOD – STANDING STRONG IN TODAY’S WORLD”
@
Today, we the children want to share a short message on "The Armour of God" as one of the series thought us in our children's church this year.
Our Bible text is from
Ephesians 6:11 —
“Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.”
God does not want His children to be weak, confused, or carried away by the world.
He wants us to be strong, protected, and full of His Word.
Today, we will also do a simple illustration using orange and water to help us understand this message better.
*PART 1- WHAT IS THE ARMOUR OF GOD?*
The armour of God is the spiritual protection God gives to every believer.
Just like soldiers wear armour for protection, Christians also need spiritual armour to stand strong against sin, temptation, fear, bad influence, and distractions from the world
The Bible mentions different parts of the armour:
1. Belt of Truth
This means we must always speak and live in truth.
2. Breastplate of Righteousness
This protects our hearts when we choose to live rightly and obey God.
3. Shoes of the Gospel of Peace
This means we should carry God’s peace and share the good news of Jesus.
4. Shield of Faith
Faith helps us trust God even when life is difficult.
5. Helmet of Salvation
Salvation protects our minds and reminds us that we belong to Jesus.
6. Sword of the Spirit
The Word of God is our weapon against temptation and lies.
When we wear God’s armour daily, we become spiritually strong.
*PART 2 — THE ORANGE ILLUSTRATION*
(Show the orange and a bowl or transparent container filled with water.)
Now we want to demonstrate something simple.
This water represents:
the world,
temptations,
distractions,
social media pressures,
sin,
and ungodly influences.
And this orange represents a Christian.
Step 1 — Orange With the Peel
(Place the orange with the peel into the water.)
Notice that the orange floats.
Why?
Because the peel protects it.
The peel is like the armour of God:
prayer,
the Word of God,
obedience,
faith,
good character,
and godly guidance.
When children stay close to God, the pressures of the world cannot easily pull them down.
Step 2 — Orange Without the Peel
(Remove the peel beforehand or use another peeled orange and place it into the water.)
Now notice what happens.
The orange sinks.
Why?
Because the protection is gone.
This teaches us that when we neglect:
prayer,
Bible study,
faith in Christ,
church fellowship,
obedience to parents,
and godly living,
the world can easily influence us negatively.
Without God’s armour, we become spiritually weak.
*3 — ENCOURAGEMENT TO CHILDREN AND THE CHURCH
Today’s world is full of many distractions.
Children are growing up in a time where:
the internet competes for their attention,
wrong influences are everywhere,
and many voices try to pull them away from God.
But God is still looking for children who will stand for Him.
Children who will:
love Jesus,
obey their parents,
speak the truth,
pray,
and live differently from the world.
And we also encourage parents and the church to continue helping children grow spiritually and remain grounded in God’s Word.
CONCLUSION
So today, we encourage everyone — and we the children in particular — to:
Keep praying
Read your Bible
Obey God
Choose good friends
Stay filled with God’s Word
Because when you wear the armour of God, you will not sink into the world.
Ephesians 6:13 says:
“Take up the whole armour of God… and having done all, to stand.”
May God help all of us to stand strong for Him.
Thank you and God bless you all.
