On Sunday 28th December, we will hold a benefice service of Sung Eucharist at Castor church at 10.15am, which will be led by Archdeacon Alison Booker.

No other service will take place. Evening Prayer (via zoom) with Fr Ray will return on Sunday 4th January.

Christingle Service at Castor Church this Sunday

Please join us for a lovely benefice service to celebrate Christingle on Sunday 7th December at 4pm. With readings, hymns, prayers and children's nativity. A cash collection will be made on behalf of The Children's Society.

Benefice services Sunday 9th November for Remembrance Sunday;

9am Service of Remembrance at Marholm.

10.15am Service of Remembrance at Castor.

Specifically for our Children's Church families, there will be a special session for Remembrance Sunday in the Cedar Centre, Castor - your children are very welcome to join us.

Sunday Evening Prayer (via zoom)

Our weekly service of Sunday Prayer, which usually takes place online via zoom at 4pm, will take a short break during November.

Fr Ray plans to return to leading Evening Prayer from Sunday 7th December and we will confirm the login details for the service early that week.

As you may be aware, an announcement by The Venerable Alison Booker, Archdeacon of Oakham was made at our services in Castor and Marholm churches on Sunday 7th September regarding Fr Shilo. The announcement read;

"Following a review of his curacy and with the agreement of Bishop Debbie and BishopJohn, The Revd Shilo Varghese has been offered and has accepted the invitation to transfer his curacy to St Mary's, Peterborough for the remainder of his curacy. Shilo's last Sunday in Castor Benefice will be Sunday 28th September.

The Bishops wish to extend their grateful thanks to the people of Castor for their support of Shilo during his curacy with them.

Please pray for Shilo as he prepares to transition from his ministry in Castor and to work in St Mary's, Peterborough."

Fr Shilo's final services with us will take place on Sunday 28th September (8am at Castor, 9am at Marholm, 10.15am at Castor and 4pm Harvest at Sutton). You are invited to join us for refreshments following the 10.15am service at St Kyneburgha's to wish Fr Shilo farewell and to give him our grateful thanks.
