Monday Musing- ANCESTRAL BLESSINGS

Today I encourage you to intentionally embrace and exercise yourselves in the blessedness of both your mother’s household and your father’s household. May the virtues, favour, and spiritual heritage flowing from each lineage rise to support you, strengthen you, and accelerate your journey. Just as the Jewish people have drawn upon the holistic blessings of their ancestors for generations, may YOU too be empowered by every good word, every good deed, and every good covenant connected to your family lines. Amen!

As you INTENTIONALLY and REFLECTIVELY engage with this truth, you unlock the joyful and unrestrained flow of remarkable virtues and blessings that may have long been dormant within your sphere. In doing so, you awaken hidden reservoirs of favour, strength, and potential, positioning yourself to walk fully in your holistic inheritance.

I pray that you do not buy into or fall prey to the misguided, whimsical, and deeply draining yet unfortunately very popular church narrative (particularly within Pentecostal and Charismatic circles) of so-called ‘ancestral curses.’ Instead, may you stand firm in the truth of your redeemed and authentic identity, knowing that the blessings of your fathers and mothers far outweigh any narrative of “inherited doom”. You are called, you are chosen, and you are empowered to walk in freedom, favour, and rich purpose. Amen.

May this month and year be filled with fruitfulness and favour, deeply rooted in your rich ancestral heritage. AMEN!

BORN A CREATOR: CREATIVITY’S ENDLESS CYCLE

A few days ago, on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, I found myself reflecting on concerns someone had shared with me. As I pondered them, certain thoughts began to resonate deeply. I believe others might benefit from hearing this, as it offers assurance, empowerment, and a sense of renewal.

In the vast realm of creativity, the notion of waste simply doesn’t exist. Every spark of inspiration, every attempt, and even every failure is a vital thread in the tapestry of innovation. What might seem like a discarded idea, an undesirable outcome, or an arguably failed experiment often becomes the catalyst for brilliance or the stepping stone to a breakthrough. In the creative process, everything contributes to the evolution of something greater.

Every experience, whether seen as success or failure, fuels the continuous cycle of creativity. Embracing this perspective allows us to recognise that our journeys, with all their twists and turns, are integral to the unfolding of our creative potential. Ultimately, we are all born creators, and in this boundless cycle, nothing is ever wasted.

In essence, there is no such thing as waste in creativity.
