We are delighted to share that the new Herschel infrared heating system has now been fully installed in St Columba's Church Stanley.

With grateful thanks to the Net Zero Grant Fund — and especially to Dr Bethany for all of her hard work and support — this £16,003 grant has helped make St Columba’s more energy efficient, environmentally friendly, and cost effective for the future.

The new system looks amazing and has opened up our beautiful roof space even more, enhancing the beauty of the church while also helping us reduce our energy usage and costs.

This is an important step in caring for our church building for future generations, ensuring that St Columba’s continues to serve both the congregation and the wider village community for many years to come.

We’re open today as usual, but will then be closed until Friday evening while our new heating system is being installed....
