Our opening times are back to normal! Every Monday 9-12:30pm and Thursday 1-3:30pm.

Monday Opening Time
We have made a small change to our Monday opening hours to help accommodate staff training, cleaning and essential tasks such as trips to the Cash & Carry. We will now open from 10am every Monday.
This gives us a little more time at the start of the week to make sure everything is prepared and ready before we open. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

Today at St Columba’s, we had a busy and very special Sunday indeed!

We were delighted to welcome Bishop Ian and Mother Carrie to Stanley, with Bishop Ian presiding and preaching as part of his farewell tour of charges across the Diocese.

It was also an important day in the life of St Columba’s as our new Vestry was formally constituted, marking an exciting new chapter for our growing church community.

There was further cause for celebration as our Lay Reader, Graham Martin-Bates, was presented by Bishop Ian with the William of Perth Award, recognising his many years of faithful and dedicated service to the Church. A very well-deserved honour!

Following the service, we gathered together for wonderful food, fellowship and the opportunity to give thanks to Bishop Ian and Mother Carrie for all they have given to St Columba’s, to our Diocese, and to so many of us personally.

A joyful day, and another important moment in the continuing story of St Columba’s here at the heart of Stanley.

Tomorrow we are delighted to welcome Bishop Ian and the Revd Canon Dr Carrie, who will lead us in worship at St Columba’s.

This will be a particularly special service for our congregation as we have the opportunity to say farewell to Bishop Ian ahead of his retirement later this year. His visit to St Columba’s forms part of his farewell journey around the charges of the Diocese, and we look forward to welcoming both Bishop Ian and Mtr Carrie and sharing this special occasion together.
