This Friday – 5 June – will see another chance to celebrate the life of former Moderator of the General Assembly, Rt Hon Lord Wallace of Tankerness KC.

A memorial service will take place at Dunblane Cathedral at 11-30am, where Lord Wallace was a member of the cathedral choir.

The service will provide another opportunity for friends and colleagues to join the Wallace family in remembering his life and work.

One of Scotland's best known political figures, Jim Wallace was the leader of the Scottish Liberal Democrats and served as Scotland’s Deputy First Minister for several years and Acting First Minister on two occasions.

In 2021 he became only the second elder in modern times to become Moderator of the General Assembly.

The service will be livestreamed on the Dunblane Cathedral YouTube channel (link in comments) and will be available to watch on catch up.
