The St Hilary Church Corpus Christi Flower Festival has now come to an end. It was a huge success, and we are grateful to all who prepared the floral displays, all who served teas, all who entertained us with music, and all who came. Here's what you missed if you weren't able to join us:

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

Today (14th May 2026) is Ascension Day, when we celebrate the ancient Christian belief that after his death and resurrection, Jesus was taken into heaven. It is exactly 40 days after Easter, and we will be celebrating this special day with a service at St Hilary Church at 7.00pm this evening. All welcome.

Tomorrow is Rogation Sunday, a word coming from the Latin meaning ‘to ask,’ and where traditionally we are encouraged to ask for God’s blessing on the crops to ensure a good harvest. In times past, church congregations would process around the parish boundaries on Rogation Sunday and "beat the bounds," saying prayers on the way.

In a modern nod to this, following our regular Sung Eucharist at 9.30am at St Hilary Church TR20 9DQ - during which there will also be a baptism - we will process around the church and the churchyard, walking an additional mile to St Hilary School and back, through St Hilary Churchtown. We will be led by the altar party, including the crucifer, thurifer and other robed servers, and we will say some prayers on the way. We will then return to the church itself for a buffet lunch, which has been generously funded by a special grant.

You are very welcome to join us for the whole morning, or at 9.30am for the service; at 10.45am for the walk; or 11.45am for the buffet lunch.

Do you enjoy attending Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve? Did you know there was an Easter equivalent on the eve of Easter Day? Why not join us tonight at St Hilary Church, West Cornwall TR20 9DQ at 9.00pm for our Vigil and First Mass of Easter? We start by gathering around a bonfire outside the darkened church and then take light into the church for our first glorious Sung Eucharist of Easter.

Or maybe you would prefer to come to church on Easter Sunday itself? Our service tomorrow is at 11.00am and is suitable for all the family. EVERYONE is welcome at ALL our services. Please come!

Join us tomorrow (Sunday 29th March) at 9.30am at St Hilary Church for our Palm Sunday Procession and Sung Eucharist. The service will involve both our young people's group "Young Explorers" and some of the "Open the Book" team who go in to St Hilary School each week in term time to share Bible stories and thoughts about what they might mean to us. Meet outside the Churchyard near the War Memorial at 9.30am for the start of the procession to church.

If you've ever wondered about coming to a service at St Hilary Church, why not make tomorrow that day? All warmly welcome for this first service of Holy Week.
