TOMORROW evening (Saturday 22nd August) at St Hilary Church TR20 9DQ: join us for a classical music concert featuring the double winner of Poland's "Young Guitarist of the Year" Aleksandra Sapok (classical guitar) and internationally celebrated UK lutenist Ben Salfield (10-course guitar). Tickets are available in advance from www.kernowconcerts.co.uk (although they will also be available on the door) at a price of £15 each, with students under 25 £10 each and under 18s FREE! Doors and bar open from 7.00pm; ample parking in adjacent farmyard. All welcome.

The President and Preacher will be The Rt Revd David Williams, Bishop of Truro, and the service will be followed by a light supper. Ample parking in adjacent farmyard. All welcome.

Currently on show at St Hilary Church, West Cornwall: an exhibition entitled "Daydream Pilgrim." Curated by Jonathan Michael Ray and Chelsey Pettyjohn, the exhibition consists of thirteen artworks from thirteen artists, including paintings on canvas, panel and paper, and sculptures in wood, stone, metal and ceramic. The exhibition has been sympathetically curated to blend into the existing artistic scheme of the church, and some of the works are located in extraordinary places! Open 11.00am - 4.00pm today and tomorrow only. Free entry.

Another wonderful concert coming up at St Hilary Church, West Cornwall this evening (Saturday 18th July)! Starting at 7.00pm, we are delighted to have "Music for a Summer Evening" in celebration of our organist David Ball's 80th year on earth and the 60th anniversary of the first time he played the organ at St Hilary Church!

This concert will feature a wide range of orchestral music played by musicians brought together from across the local area, and conducted by David himself, and will be followed by refreshments. Entry is free, but David is inviting donations after the concert to be split between the Radford Music Trust and The Cornwall Music Service Trust (CMST), as well as St Hilary Church. All welcome; ample parking in the adjacent farmyard.

Thank you to everyone who came to our special fundraising concert "Bach for Bells" at St Hilary Church on Saturday night, hosted by Petroc Trelawny. They were heard on the first outside broadcast of a drama by the BBC on 22nd December 1926 which came from St Hilary Church, and we would love to hear them ring again in this centenary year!
