St Buryan's 15th century Parish church is the largest of three churches in the Lands End Benefice, the most South Westerly cluster of churches in the country, and part of the Diocese of Truro, in the County of Cornwall. So come, visit this remarkable place, admire our church, join in our worship and add your prayers to the myriad of saints prayers, or just sit and absorb the unique atmosphere created by over one and a half thousand years of prayer and worship.

We have three nests of Swallows in St Buryan Church porch this year and all have noisy young - at least three in each nest.
Thanks especially to Wendy for all her efforts cleaning up all the extra droppings this year with the extra nests 🙏🥰

BLISTER PACKS RECYCLED

Did you know that you can drop off your empty tablet blister packs for recycling at St Buryan Church?

There is a pedal bin beside the food larder and book shelf (see photos).
Superdrug no longer recycle blister packs but Boots in Penzance are working with TerraCycle who convert the tablet packaging into reusable raw materials rather than it going into landfill.

We drop off at least one very large plastic bag full each month - and we are very happy to collect more. ♻️

The Food Larder in St Buryan Church has received lots of donations of pads.
Does anyone have local contacts with Carers or Care homes that might find these useful?
The Church is open daily from 9am.
Thank you 🙏

St Buriana’s Oratory was created in the Lady Chapel for St Buryan Feast weekend. One of the maps shows the dangerous journey St Buriana took from Cork in southern Ireland to St Buryan across the Celtic sea in a small wooden boat in the 6th Century.

The display is still up and looking forward to visitors putting flags on maps showing where they were born.

We have three maps - Cornwall, the UK and Ireland, and a map of the world.

Treliske hospital/Truro is a clear winner at the moment.

Please do pop in a place a flag where you were born 🚩

What a great Treasure Hunt yesterday. It was lovely to see so many families and visitors looking for clues in the St Buryan Church and then we had a wonderful Feast Supper last night.
This morning come to our special Feast Service at 9.30am. All welcome.
And don't forget to visit "St Buriana's Oratory" if you haven't already been.
