Hello
Just a reminder for anyone planning to revive or create a new guild.

Traditionally Guisers would trade their, often dubious, skills at singing, dancing and acting in return for drink and hospitality. Sometimes they were fabulously good, sometimes spectacularly bad, usually rather silly and always very funny.
I'm pretty sure the pubs in Penzance would no longer accept such a currency but you can but try. And everyone else will be willingly seduced and entertained.

Agree on a theme - for example The Physicians are scary quacks.
What do they look like? Rather terrifying 17th century plague doctors.
And what do they do? Offer examinations and bizarre diagnostics and then deliver crazy prescriptions and even demonstrate with unlikely operations. Not unlike YouTube then.

So you might want to come up with something similar - learn a song, dance or act out a play.
You're there to turn the world upside down - mock the powerful - reverse the roles - get away with ...

And you might want to think of a way to choose or elect a Master or Mistress, after the Sundowner Procession, to lead you in the later processions and of course direct your revels.
What extraordinary powers might they exercise ... just for one night?

And please don't miss the Guild Gathering on December 1st.

The 31st is known as Halloween to most but traditionally known as Nos Calan Gwav - (Winters Eve) also called Allantide (from St Allan) in Cornwall.
Traditionally a time to give large shiny red apples to be popped under your pillow at night to dream of the person you were to marry. There's also the classic game mentioned at the beginning of the19th c where a cross of wood would have apples hanging and candles on top. Aim well to catch the apple or get hot wax on you!

Men an Tol a site thought to date back 3,500 years. No longer in it's original configuration due to stones falling and being used by farmers. A beautiful spot for ritual or a picnic.
