We also have midweek groups, including house groups, bible studies, and kids/teen clubs! Church in the Barn is a Bible-believing independent church. Our congregation is about 200, about half being under 18. Children aged 0-11+ are encouraged to join in the Sunday School activities and learn from the Bible in a creative manner. We aren't too complicated, so our older kids join the adults for the me
ssage. Each Sunday many of us enjoy a "bring & share" lunch together after church. All are welcome. Our youth contingent play an active part in the church and meet on Fridays for the youth club and football league ministry. Through the week we have various House Group/Bible Study options for adults, children and teenagers. We have a pastor and youth pastor who we keep busy, and lots of volunteers to make church happen! Deacons, elders, support team, childrens workers, youth leaders, worship team and welcome team. We have links with other churches in Penrith and further afield. Our services are relaxed and informal, we take communion together most Sunday mornings. Services (10:30am & 6:30pm) usually start with a time of worship, which tends towards the modern, but does not exclude the old. Our services usually last about 1.5 hours and may include communion, testimonies, a message, worship and ministry. We do not believe that ministry is exclusive to the leadership team, encouraging the whole church to exercise spiritual gifts under their supervision and discernment.
