Looking ahead to our 1030am service on Sunday Carolyn Dickinson will be looking at a section of Paul’s letter to the Romans, helping us picture how the early Christians were living in Rome and reflecting on the message Paul sent to them.
Carolyn is local to the Penrith area and has been involved with the Methodist Church all of her life, though attended a CofE Sunday School and worshipped at a Pentecostal Church for a couple of years in her teens. Through her love of music and being part of a worship group in the 80’s and 90’s she began to wonder about offering to become a Local Preacher.
That journey started almost 34 years ago but even now she admits to never feeling good enough to lead others in worship or preach God’s word, but God equips and enables and so the journey continues. Carolyn tries to ensure that the worship she leads is relevant and helpful to each church community, to encourage and support them, as well as often issuing a challenge to help people grow and develop in their own faith.
All are welcome to come along to PMC on Sunday and discover more about our service’s theme.
