Our hearts and prayers are with everyone affected by the tragic events at the festival. 💔🙏 May God bring comfort, peace and strength to all those affected

We are devastated by the serious incident that took place at Big Church Festival 2026 today, in which a sign fell, injuring at least seven people, one of whom tragically lost their life.

First and foremost, all of our thoughts are with those who have been affected, their families and friends, and everyone who witnessed what happened.

Following today’s incident, we have made the decision to bring Big Church Festival 2026 to a close.

🌟 SHINEfest — Day 5: Over & Out! 🌟
And just like that… SHINEfest is over and out! 😭✨ What an incredible final day we’ve had!

Today we looked at the Parable of the Wedding Feast and discovered how God invites EVERYONE to join His party! 🎉💛

We made our very own cameras, complete with a picture of us enjoying our ice cream 📸🍦, played our favourite games, and of course there was plenty of singing, dancing and laughter!

And then came the moment everyone had been waiting for… VOTE TO SOAK! 💦 Melody, Joyful, Lightbulb and some of our amazing helpers got absolutely SOAKED - a super fun end to the week 🤣

What a week it has been. We are so thankful for every child who came, every parent who trusted us, every helper who served, and everyone who has prayed for SHINEfest throughout the week. ❤️

And we’re not quite finished yet… Sunday morning is our big celebration! 🎉 We can’t wait to share some of the highlights from the week, sing our favourite SHINEfest songs and celebrate together all that God has done.

SHINEfest 2026… what a week! ✨💛

✨ SHINEfest – Day 4! 🔥💨
Day 4 is done… and what a day it’s been! 🎉 We’re getting very close to the end now — just one more sleep until our final day! 🥹

Today we explored Pentecost through the eyes of Peter 🔥, thinking about the amazing way the Holy Spirit came and how Peter was transformed and empowered to boldly share the good news about Jesus.

We made windmills 🌬️, sang, danced, played our usual crazy games and, of course, had plenty of fun with Melody, Joyful & Lightbulb’s cousin came to see us today! 🤩

And then came a very special surprise… 🍦 the beautiful Blubelle ice cream van came to visit us! 🍦🎉 Safe to say that went down VERY well!

Our hardest tongue twister yet had everyone getting their words in a muddle! 😂🔥

“Fiery flickering flames flew fast and fierce to the flummoxed followers’ foreheads!” 🔥

And then… the moment we’ve all been waiting for… 👀
🗳️ THE VOTE TO SOAK RESULTS ARE IN! 💦

The decision has been made about who is getting soaked tomorrow! 😂

✨ SHINEfest – Day 3! 💡

We’re officially halfway through SHINEfest! 🎉 What a brilliant day we’ve had as we explored our theme: Jesus is the Light! 💡✨

The children had lots of fun making their very own lanterns 🏮 and, of course, there was plenty of fun and laughter with Joyful, Melody & Lightbulb! 🤩💃

Our SHINEfest tongue twister for day 3… can you say it without getting your words muddled?! 👀😂

“Jesus, the Light of Life we live, is the Lasting Light for our lives!” 💡

And the big question now is… which leader is going to get soaked on Friday?! 💦😂 We’ll have to wait and see! 👀

What a fantastic three days it has been. We’re so excited for what the rest of SHINEfest has in store! ❤️✨

🌟 SHINEfest – Day 2! 🌟

What a wonderful second day we’ve had at SHINEfest! 💛

Today we looked at Miriam’s song and discovered more about worship — what it means, how we can worship and how we can encourage others to worship too! 🙌🎶

We’ve made our very own tambourines 🪇, played some super-fun games, enjoyed plenty of snacks, and of course sung some of our favourite songs! 🎵

And we can’t forget Melody, Joyful and Lightbulb, who brought their signature dance moves! 💃🕺 Their dancing has quickly become something we all LOVE! 😂❤️

Our tongue twister of the day summed it up perfectly:

✨ “We worship with wonder our wonderful One!” ✨

What a joy it is to see our children learning, creating, laughing and worshipping together. 💕

Day 2 done… and we can’t wait for Day 3! 💡 ✨

SHINEfest – Day 1! 🌟

What a brilliant first day! 🎉

Today we learnt about Creation and how each of us is wonderfully made in God’s image. ❤️

We met Melody & Joyful, learnt our SHINEfest theme song 🎶, our team chants, asked lots of questions, got creative with crafts and spray painting, and even met a lightbulb! 💡😄

Our tongue twister of the day was:
“Our Creative Creator created us creative in His creative creation!” 👏 Who will remember it tomorrow?? 🤔

Day 1 done… bring on Day 2! ✨

🎉 SHINEFEST — WE ARE READY! 🎉

The countdown is almost over… and SHINEfest is ready to go! 🙌✨

The team have been busy behind the scenes, the school is set up, the decorations are up and we are SO excited to welcome everyone tomorrow! 💛

We can’t wait for a week of fun, friendship, faith, games, worship and discovering how Jesus shines His light into our lives. 🌟
