If you have a free afternoon this Saturday the 13th June come and join us at St Mary’s from 12 till 4. This month we are taking part in the Great Big Green Week, the UK’s biggest celebration of community action to tackle climate change and protect nature. From wildlife safaris to weeding we’ll have something for all ages and abilities.

A Prayer from Christian Concern for One World
A Prayer for the Oceans
Lord God, creator of all things,
We thank you for the oceans around us
For the glittering interplay of surface water and light
And the dark mysteries of the ocean deeps.
We thank you for all that lives in the oceans,
From tiny microplankton to blue whales -
Testimony to your creativity
And source of blessings to your people.
We thank you for the oceans' hidden role,
Conveying heat from place to place.
Help us to treasure these waters
On which we depend so completely,
To protect and restore them
And to live in balance and harmony
With them and with all your Creation.
We ask this in the name of Jesus,

We have just had a discussion with Scott at Buglife about our Bug Hunt tomorrow in the meadow. The feeling is that we will be there tomorrow as planned but will review the situation this evening and again in the morning. We will post here if and when there is any further news.
