We've had a great time building community this August, from coming together at our team services, to Kaleidoscope on Holiday, to launching The Venue, our new community space and youth centre at Pendrill Court in Papworth! 🙌

After school youth drop ins at The Venue are launching later this month and we can't wait to see what God does... Please pray for the work we're doing in our villages and keep an eye out on our website papworth.team for events going on across the benefice 🌟

Little Dragons is back! 🐉💛

We’re really excited to welcome Little Dragons back from Thursday 3rd September, now in its new home at The Venue in Papworth Everard.

Little Dragons is our friendly group for children under school age and their parents or carers, with plenty of time to play, explore, create, enjoy stories and make music together.

Whether you’ve been coming for ages or have never joined us before, you’ll be very warmly welcome. Just come along!

We had such a great time together over our 3 days of Kaleidoscope on Holiday! 🌞🏖 There were so many fab activities from flower arranging to watercolouring to music, talks from The National Trust, Age UK, and St John's Ambulance, and more than enough coffee and cake to go around alongside time building community ☕️🍰

Thank you so much to our amazing team who worked so hard to put this together - we are so grateful and can't wait for Kaleidoscope to be back again soon!

It was great to meet Sarah and Maryam yesterday and so many other members of our local community as we opened the Venue! We are open again today between 10am and 12pm - do pop in for a drink and to say hello. 🎉🥳☕🫖🎮🕹️🎲🗨️

We’re thrilled to have officially launched our new Community Hub and Youth Centre in Papworth Everard today! 🎉

It was wonderful to welcome local councillors, support workers, members of the community and people of all ages as we opened this newly renovated space. We hope it will become a real beating heart for Papworth Everard and the wider Papworth Team in the Diocese of Ely, bringing people together and creating new opportunities for connection, support and community life.

If you’d like to come and have a look around, we’d love to welcome you:

Its getting closer!

After months of planning, renovating and some building still to go, we're delighted to invite you to the Grand Opening of The Venue Papworth... (Youth work update further down!)

The Venue will be a brand new purpose built youth centre and community hub right here in Papworth Everard by Papworth Team Ministry —a place designed for connection, conversation and community, and a place of safety and fun for our young people!

We are running 3 open days for anyone in the local community to come along and see what's going on.

There is room in God's heart for all things big and small. The same God who flung stars into space knows how many hairs are on your head and cares deeply for each one of us. 🌏🫀🌟

We believe that God also cares deeply for our villages and every person in them, which is why our goal is for everyone to feel welcome in our churches and feel that they have a place where they belong 🫂

We can't wait to see some of you at our team service tomorrow (Sunday 9th August) at 10am @ St Pandionia & St John the Baptist Church, Eltisley ⛪️

This month we're welcoming everyone to come and join us in two of our churchyards as we explore the plants and animals that can be found in these special spaces! 🌱🐿 There will be activities and refreshments for all ages.

What's coming for our Village Youth!?

From September (new school term) The Venue will also become home to our after-school Youth drop-in on Mondays and Fridays from 3:45pm to 6pm, for those aged 11 - 17 (Year 7 and up) . We are excited to give our amazing young people a safe place to relax, make friends and belong. more info to follow! Feel free to contact Albert our Youth Minister for more info (on our website!)
