In the late 1940's, 1950's and 1960's, long before the Fellowship was given a name, conferences were arranged in the UK where missionaries and Africans shared their experience of Revival in East Africa. A generation later, some of those who had entered into the reality of personal revival early, were joined by others. Few members today would point to links with any Revival movement, but all share
the same simple reviving message of a living, continuous experience of an indwelling, Jesus Christ. For anyone looking for the first time at the Christian scene today, it would be difficult to work out what was the heart of the Christian Gospel. Many Christian communities use the same words but mean different things. Many perform a variety of activities and ceremonies which do not seem to correspond to the biblical records of early churches. Every genuine Christian Revival has underlined the simple message of God's loving purposes in showing people the evil of their self-centred ways and what God has done, through Jesus, to change them and make them what He intended. Everyone who has experienced personal revival has found it through the same timeless Gospel. It is that simple Gospel and their experience of it which the Tarsus Fellowship shares with all who will listen.
