We invite you to a wonderful world of colour at St. Roberts Church, Pannal, as we celebrate a festival of flowers, music and arts from 15–17 May.
The preview evening at 7pm on Friday 15th will display 24 arrangements of flowers, depicting a magnificent array of colour, beginning with a rainbow walk on the drive, provided by children leading throughout the church up to the sanctuary, which will be in white and gold.
The gloves will represent the various seasons throughout the church calendar and the vestments worn by the clergy at those times.
The colourful theme will be continued during the day on Saturday in the Chapter House, where members of the congregation will be displaying their talents in quilting, knitting, jewellery, photography and painting.
On Saturday evening, junior voices from Pannal Primary School will join our church choir and others to present a musical evening concert in the church, involving a potpourri of items, many of which will mention colour in the lyrics.
Viewing will be available from 11:30am on Sunday, and there will be a “Songs of Praise” at 6pm, followed by the drawing of the grand raffle. Tickets are available to buy now in church or online (see previous post), and will also be available to purchase over the weekend.
Please do support this event, as it will be a wonderful celebration of our colourful, vibrant church in Pannal.

Here are some photos from the festival 4 years ago of some of the beautiful flower arrangements.

💐💐Calling All Children!!💐💐

During the festival weekend 15th-17th May, we are planning a very colourful entrance into our church and we would love the children in church to provide a selection of small colourful arrangements to welcome visitors.

Pupils from Pannal School are making multi-coloured poms-poms to add to greenery over the church gate and we would like lots of children to make small colourful arrangements in brightly-coloured wellies to line the pathway up to the church door.

It would be lovely to have some colourful miniature gardens on top of the stone slab, which sits over the small flower bed on the left-hand side of the path.

One of our guest arrangers is a famous lecturer and judge and she has kindly agreed to judge the displays and award prizes to the most attractive and colourful!

Please comment on here (if you haven’t let Christine know already) if you are interested so we know how may to expect!
