Rev Lynsey Brennan tells us about this new worship initiative in St Paul's Church Milngavie which is open and welcoming to all:

"One of the most encouraging things about The Way has been seeing a growing community of Christians from across our churches gathering under the banner of Jesus. Coming together to worship, pray and lift high the name of Christ is a powerful witness to our communities and a real reminder that we are one body in Him.

The Way takes place on the last Sunday of every month, so please help us spread the word and invite others to come along.

Doors open at 6:30 pm for coffee and doughnuts, with worship beginning at 7:00 pm. There will also be games and activities for children, so families are warmly welcomed.

We're beginning a new series, Emotionally Healthy Spirituality, exploring what it means to become emotionally healthy, spiritually mature disciples of Jesus. Our guest preacher this month is Rev Chris Barlas, and we're looking forward to having him with us."

During today's service, we were delighted to ordain three new Elders into Elderslie and Linwood Parish Church.

Elders play a hugely important role in our community, overseeing the life and work of the church.

Rev Fletcher presented Jenifer MacFarlane, John Taggart and Dorothy Connie with certificates as they were ordained.

Clyde Presbytery Ministers’ Away Day

Seventeen ministers from the Presbytery of Clyde enjoyed a sunny away day in Troon, taking time to focus on resilience, wellbeing and fellowship.

The day included an introduction to the support and resources available through the Church of Scotland’s Ascend programme, while Andy Gillies of Arran NHS Chaplaincy led an engaging session on health and wellbeing. In the afternoon, Stephen Fischbacher of Fischy Music brought everyone together for an uplifting sing-along. (If you haven’t come across Fischy Music before, they’re well worth looking up!)

With glorious weather on our side, there was also plenty of time after lunch to enjoy a stroll along the seafront, rounded off, of course, with the obligatory ice cream.
