Paisley Baptist Church

Paisley Baptist Church We are a Christian church, following Jesus and living his truth in and around Paisley. Afterwards we enjoy a cup of tea and a chat together in the church hall.

We meet every Sunday at 11am to worship God and learn from him through studying his word together. Most often that means our minister or a visiting speaker will give a talk on a passage or a theme from the Bible. We believe in the power of Jesus to radically transform the lives of those who follow him. We believe that transformation is a gift available to all, and that’s the truth we seek to live

and to share with our friends, families, neighbours and the wider community in Paisley. Nobody’s perfect, us least of all - but we are confident that there’s forgiveness in Jesus for every way in which we fall short and the gift of a new life with him. As Baptists, when each of us first believes this is true, and vows to follow Jesus in his way, we get baptised, which involves plunging into a pool of water and coming out again to declare that our old life’s dead and new life in Jesus has begun! We are part of a network of more than 160 similar churches through the Baptist Union of Scotland. You’re very welcome to join us on Sunday morning if you want to find out more, or you can get in touch by clicking the message button on this page. We hope to see you soon.

Here we go again 🤗 our newly re-lined baptistry is about to get its inaugural set of baptisms, and it’s going to be a busy day. There are two baptisms during our morning worship, and in the afternoon our friends from Connect Church Paisley are coming in to baptize three more. Yes, we know 2-3 sounds like an away win but to be honest we’re just delighted to celebrate *five* confessions of new life in Christ, all in one day. 🙌 Paisley Baptist Church meets at 11am in Lady Lane; all our services are also live streamed at www.youtube.com/ … Connect’s service begins at 4.00pm. There’s tea and cakes after both!

This is a few months away yet, but when the Scottish Baptist College next hosts the Whitley lecture series, in March 2026, the lecture will take place right here in Lady Lane. If you’ve ever been curious about the sorts of things academic theologians like to chew over, this could be your chance …

Paulus de Jong will explore the theme "From Estrangement to Embrace: Scriptural Storylines and the Gospel’s Vision of Reconciliation."
