An update from Jacob and Sam on their FirstServe Gap Year - Serve Global stage in South America.

"We have been in Peru for roughly 6 weeks.

During these 6 weeks we have done many things such as climbing mountians or going on hikes with the youth from the church, doing a Saturday sports ministry, doing a Colossians bible study, and travelling to diffrent churches in Peru.

We have had many activities to do, lots of fun doing them and a sense of closeness to the Lord while doing them. It’s helped us to grow - not only in our faith but also our knowledge of the Lord.

Our favourite things have been - playing football and sharing a message with the youth, giving talks at the Colossians study and learning all about the culture."

Pray for Jacob and Sam as they approach the end of their gap year.

Jacob and Sam are serving in Colombia on the Serve Global stage of their FirstServe gap year.

They are using their gifts and talents to serve alongside the local church and learn more about mission work in South America.

Have you met our latest FirstServers Jacob and Sam?

Jacob and Sam have completed Learn to Serve at Tilsley College, GLO Europe and are currently on the Serve Local stage of their gap year.

Jacob is at Crescent Church Belfast and Sam is learning to serve at Regent Chapel in Newcastle.

Continue to pray for Jacob and Sam as they grow in their faith and continue to learn more about learning to serve, serving locally and serving globally.

A big welcome to Jacob and Sam our newest FirstServers embarking on a gap year with FirstServe.

After coming to the Echoes International office they are now heading to Tilsley College, GLO Europe for their Learn to Serve placement.

Please join us in praying for them both as they embark on their gap year.

FirstServe UK is tailored for participants wishing to remain in the UK during their year.

The year begins at Tilsley College, GLO Europe following the same structure as the standard programme.

However, instead of an overseas cross-cultural placement, you will stay in the UK for the entire duration.

This will include 3-4 block placements with UK-based churches, each designed to provide a rich cross-cultural experience.

Additionally, there may be opportunities for one or two short overseas trips with during the summer.
