Join us for the monthly prolife Mass on the 5th June at The Little Sisters in Greenock!
FIRST FRIDAYS FOR LIFE
Bishop John invites all the faithful of the diocese to pray and fast for life on the first Fridays of the month. The most powerful prayer gifted to the Church by our Lord is the Mass. You are warmly invited to join your priests at these Masses on the first Fridays to pray for the culture of life and the protection of the unborn child.
The last Mass in this year's Novena will be offered in The Little Sisters in Greenock on Friday the 5th of June at 7PM; Holy Mass will be preceded by some time for Adoration and Confessions from 6PM.

“To be actively pro-life is to contribute to the renewal of society through the promotion of the common good. It’s impossible to further the common good without acknowledging and defending the right to life, upon which all the other inalienable rights of individuals are founded and from which they develop.” Pope St. John Paul II

The Bishops of Scotland warmly welcome Magnifica Humanitas (Magnificent Humanity), the first encyclical of Pope Leo XIV, as a timely and insightful contribution to one of the defining questions of our age. As artificial intelligence rapidly reshapes human life, this important document calls us to place the dignity of the human person at the heart of every technological advance.

We encourage the faithful, our schools and parish communities to read, study and pray with this landmark text.

To support this, the Office of Communications and Evangelisation will soon publish a parish study guide and other resources for small groups and parish use, helping communities to reflect more deeply on the opportunities and challenges of new technologies and their impact on human life.

Bishop John Keenan
President of the Bishops’ Conference of Scotland

THANK YOU!

We are so grateful to all the wonderful families from across the diocese who joined together for today’s Family Day with Mary! It was a joy to come together in prayer, friendship, and in celebration under the loving care of Our Blessed Mother.

A special thank you to the parishioners of St Francis’ for their generous hospitality, and to the children who led us so beautifully in the Holy Rosary and the Crowning of Mary at the grotto.

Our Lady of Fatima - pray for us!
