It was with great sadness that we heard of Fr. Jonathan Bielawski’s death on July 22nd. Our sincere thanks go out to the Sisters of Nazareth, and our condolences go out to his family, friends and parishioners.

Fr. Jonathan’s funeral will take place at The Cathedral Church of St Mary & St Boniface on Thursday 27th August, at 12pm. Bishop Nicholas Hudson will be celebrating this Requiem Mass.

His body will be received into the Cathedral at 4.30pm on Wednesday 26th August, and Canon John Deeny will be celebrating a Vigil Mass at 6pm.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.

body and soul into heavenly glory,

Bishop Nicholas was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Southwark on 19 July 1986. He will be celebrating his Special 40th Anniversary Mass in Plymouth Cathedral on Sunday 19th July 2026 at 10.00am. Please keep Bishop Nicholas in your prayers.
