We had fun on Sunday at our All Age Communion service for the Feast of Creation in Christ. Here we are passing a ball of wool around the church to create the Web of Creation! In amongst the fun, there is a serious message about the integrity of creation and the need to safeguard it, with God's help. Thanks to all who took part!

A momentous day for Holy Trinity as our new oak cabinets are going in the West end of the church. This is the final phase of our building project and has been over 10 years in the planning! Josh and Harry at BLAM have done a fabulous job and we can't wait to see the cabinets fully in situ!

Cyclists and pedestrians are very welcome to use the Church Path which runs from Trinity Road to Quarry Road, via the church yard. However, please pay attention to the signs, which are there for everyone's safety: 1.) Cyclists must give way to pedestrians and, 2) dismount at the church yard gate. This morning a cyclist came flying round the corner by the Vicarage and very nearly ploughed into me. Thankfully this person's brakes worked but they could have caused a serious injury. As well as me and my family, many elderly people and children use the path, which not a public right of way, but is maintained by Holy Trinity PCC on behalf of the local community. So, please be considerate if you do use it (even if you're in a hurry.)

Almighty God,
who called your Church to bear witness
that you were in Christ reconciling the world to yourself:
help us to proclaim the good news of your love,
that all who hear it may be drawn to you;
through him who was lifted up on the cross,
and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.

I’ve been thinking recently about water and how important it is both for our planet, our gardens, and as a metaphor within the Christian life. Since summer arrived with a series of alarming heatwaves, the grass in the Vicarage garden has turned from green, to yellow, to brown. Many parts of the UK...
