Beginning on 31 August we will say Evening Prayer on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 5.00pm. The service will be gentle and traditional and will last for 20 minutes.

On this Assumption weekend here is a beautiful pastel drawing of the same statue as posted yesterday - of Our Lady of Jericho. This was drawn by the wonderful artist Gabriella Bailey (.bailey) and shortly this will be made into notelet cards.

The children’s corner today offers our younger people the chance to create their own Mary Shrine. The Vicar made the prototype.

We are now into the second week of the installation of the Henry Willis & Sons Ltd organ at St Barnabas. The scaffolding has been up for a week and the largest pipes are the first to be installed in the organ chamber. In Liverpool, the Soundboards and Actions were dismantled from the building frame. This has then all been transported to Oxford and built up again in the Church organ chamber. The Reservoirs, Soundboards and Actions are all now in place and the wind trunking is being fitted!
