Oxford Oratory Young Adults

Oxford Oratory Young Adults Events for young adults (aged 18 to 35 years) who frequent The Oratory, Oxford, usually on the first Friday of each month.

From the start of October we will begin a series of events for people aged 18 to 35 at the Oratory. Each event will aim to build community among young adults who come to The Oratory, and reflect and give catechesis on what it means to be a disciple of our Lord Jesus Christ.

OYA is now online too for those outside Oxford. (If you’re in Oxford, be sure to come in person!)

We’ve had a couple of trial runs of a parallel Zoom meeting so those who’ve moved away from Oxford can still take part. It seems to work! Sadly we can’t quite recreate the full Cafe Neri experience, or the concluding prayers in church, but you will be able to take part in the main discussion in small groups and hear the talk at the end.

A booklet will be available to download from here on Friday. Use the following link to join us on Zoom:

"During Lent it's great to have the time and space to pray more than I usually would, and it's really helpful to share that with other people. It's really transformed my observance of Lent." (Jamie)

Small Prayer Groups are running for the first three weeks of Lent. They meet in people's homes and other spaces for Lectio Divina and some social time. Why not make this part of your Lenten Observance?

Send us a message if you'd like to know more.

Chris describes his experience of Small Prayer Groups for Lent as, “A time of peace at the end of the day to foster friendship in Christ with prayer and tea"

See, they aren't so scary. Why not give them a try this Lent to deepen your prayer life and meet some new people.
