The Chaplaincy is open to all members of the Oxford Brookes community, and visitors. The Chaplaincy team are appointed in partnership by the university and the local community. There are Christian and Jewish Chaplains appointed to the university, and we benefit from partnerships with the local Hindu and Buddhist communities. We are here to offer friendship and spiritual care to all members of the
university - students and staff, UK and internationals, people from any faith tradition, or no faith at all. Our main base is the Chaplaincy room in the Helena Kennedy Student Centre (map) next door to Age UK. We also have a chapel at Harcourt Hill and there is a Catholic Chaplaincy at 62 London Road, Headington. We are often found visiting different parts of the university - in halls and departments, bars and coffee shops - meeting people wherever they happen to be. We take an interest in you! Whether you're struggling, celebrating, or just want to spend the time of day, the chaplains are available to listen and to talk. We can also offer help and advice, or talk about what faith means to you. As a team we aim to provide spiritual encouragement and pastoral care, and a wide range of opportunities for worship, prayer and meditation, discussion groups, social events, and much more.
