The team at Faith2Share were very saddened to hear of the death of Rev. Dr. John Wesley in India yesterday.

John was a long-standing friend and supporter of Faith2Share, and served faithfully as one of our Trustees until earlier this year, when he stepped down following his diagnosis. Before that, he had served as General Secretary of the Indian Evangelical Mission, giving many years to strengthening the Church and encouraging others in mission.

We will remember John especially for his warmth, his wisdom and his genuine heart for people. He was a true friend to Faith2Share and to so many of us personally. His quiet encouragement and commitment to our work in Discipleship and Leadership consultations was invaluable. We fondly remember him hosting a Leadership Consultation in Bangalore back in 2016. It is particularly poignant that he shared a testimony to his enduring Christian faith in a video message as recently as 20 August.

We give thanks to God for Johnโ€™s life and for all that he invested in others. Our thoughts and prayers are especially with his wife Mercy, their children and wider family, and with the IEM family at this time of deep loss. We will miss him, but give thanks for the friendship, wisdom and encouragement he shared with us over so many years.T

๐’๐ž๐š๐ฌ๐จ๐ง ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐‰๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ง๐ž๐ฒ๐ข๐ง๐ 

For many people across the world, summer is a season of journeys. Schools and universities have finished for the year, families take the opportunity to spend time together, and many Christian workers and missionaries return home to reconnect with loved ones, rest, and be renewed for the months of ministry ahead. Times for recharging one's batteries are a gift from God, reminding us that even Jesus invited His disciples to "come away... and rest for a while."

This year, however, many journeys have become more uncertain and costly. Conflict in the Middle East has brought changing flight schedules and last-minute cancellations, while wildfires and other extreme weather events have added further disruption. These challenges remind us of the fragility of our world and the importance of praying for peace, safety and God's protection over all who travel. Above all, we continue to pray for God's peace to prevail wherever conflict and instability remain, especially across the Middle East, where ongoing tensions affect so many lives and have far-reaching consequences around the world. May leaders pursue wisdom and reconciliation so that peace can be restored and safe travel assured.

As the Faith2Share family, we pray for all who are travelling during this seasonโ€”that God will grant safety, patience when plans change, and opportunities to be a blessing wherever their journeys take them -- for work, leisure, or family connections.A

Across Rwanda, many churches are being closed, leaving communities unable to gather, worship, and support one another as they once did.

Through our Anglican Church partner in Ruanda, weโ€™ve heard firsthand of the challenges this brings โ€” but also of a quiet, enduring faith and a determination to stay connected in new ways.

As a global fellowship, we may feel limited in what we can do, but we can stand together in prayer that the Church is guided through these current challenges.

We invite you to join us in praying for the Church in Rwanda โ€” that God will sustain His people and strengthen their faith in this challenging season.

Today, as we watch with heavy hearts the turmoil unfolding across the Middle East, words feel inadequate โ€” and yet silence feels impossible.

Nations are holding their breath. Families are displaced. Leaders face impossible choices. And ordinary people are caught in the crossfire of decisions made far above them. World leaders and Christian Churches are calling for ceasefire. The moral compass of nations is being tested. And we โ€” the global Church โ€” are called to respond with prayer.

As the Faith2Share family โ€” a community bound together by faith and a shared call to mission โ€” we pause today to pray.

As Jenny Smyth prepares to retire at the end of this week, we give heartfelt thanks for her many years of faithful leadership and valued partnership in mission.

We warmly welcome Linda Abwa as she takes up the role of Mission Director of CMS Ireland, and assure her of our prayers as she begins this new chapter.

Weโ€™re grateful for a long and enriching partnership โ€” and look forward to many more years of shared mission together.
