Last but certainly not least, we would like to thank our resident community for all the behind-the-scenes work they have put in to make events at the Chaplaincy possible. Their presence, time and effort have shaped much of Chaplaincy community life this year and we really appreciate all the energy and love they have brought to the various Chaplaincy events throughout the terms!

Thank you to our College Representatives and all the College Chaplains! The college Masses and other activities have only been possible because of your collaboration. The Catholic Chaplaincy is very grateful for the hospitality of the various College Chaplains who have welcomed us to celebrate Mass in your chapels and colleges. Thank you for providing beautiful music, refreshments and for your effort in bringing the Chaplaincy to the various colleges.

Thank you to our Chaplaincy cat Oliver 🐱🐈!

Thank you for always appearing as soon as you sense there is conversation in the Blue Room, and for letting all of us meddling humans pet you (sometimes).

Thank you also for providing a constant source of amusement for us here at the Chaplaincy. Whether stealing our seats in the Red Room, or striding in during a Newman Society talk as soon as Julian of Norwich was mentioned, you never fail to lighten the mood.

More recently this term, he has been a steady presence at Wellbeing Wednesdays, sometimes to the detriment of the crafters as he is incredibly curious to see what they are up to. But if you can get him to sit on your lap or give him a scratch under the chin, he is very cute indeed.

Therefore, we wish you a happy summer vac Oliver, rest up and enjoy the quiet free of students before the new term begins again!

Thank you to the student committees of the Newman Society ( ) and Companions of the Order of Malta ( )! You have done incredible work this year and we really appreciate it.

To the committee of the Companions of the Order of Malta, thank you for making it possible for so many students to volunteer throughout the year in an organised and deeply meaningful way. I pray that your efforts have borne fruit in touching people’s lives and helping where most needed.

To the committee of the Newman Society, thank you for nourishing both our faith and curiosity with your weekly evenings of prayer, talks and conversation. Not to mention of course the wonderful dinners, both weekly and black tie formals. Thank you also for Nightfever and the annual Mass for the Feast of Our Lord Jesus Christ the Eternal High Priest.

In unique ways, you both offer to students a great variety and richness of ways to grow in their faith. This wouldn’t be possible without all the work you all do behind the scenes to keep everything running, so thank you!

A big big thank you to all the Catholic Centres in Oxford! To Campion Hall (Campion Hall, Oxford ), Blackfriars Priory ( Blackfriars, Oxford ), the Oxford Oratory (Oxford Oratory ), the Carmelite Priory at Boars Hill (Centre for Applied Carmelite Spirituality - CACS ) and many more. THANK YOU for all you do to welcome students and for all the wonderful events you run throughout the year, both prayerful and scholarly, that allow us to deepen our faith and devotion.

In particular, thank you for hosting events with the Chaplaincy, whether they be the Corpus Christi procession, welcoming the Carol singers at Advent or for the termly Nightfever, termly retreats and many more, the richness you add to Catholic life at Oxford is truly special and we are incredibly grateful.

We wish you all a restful and prayerful summer period full of every blessing and look forward to another year of fellowship next academic year!

Thank you to ALL our volunteers!
To our readers at all the Masses, for so wonderfully proclaiming the Word of God so we can contemplate it more fully.

To our servers, who assist in making sure the Masses run smoothly with impeccable
solemnity.

To our Eucharistic Ministers, who distribute the Body and Blood of Christ so reverently to the faithful.

To the musicians, choir singers, organ players and directors who with beautiful music draw us deeper into the Liturgy.

To all who help clean up before and after our events, stacking chairs and cleaning plates with cheerfulness and immaculate vibes!

To our wonderful librarian who has worked tirelessly this year to get the Hopkins Library Catalogue system working, and to all the people who have helped lead events, or cooked for Community Meals throughout the year, enriching our faith and community.

And I’m sure I am missing more people so a big thank you to EVERYONE! Even just for your smiles, for coming to our events, for staying for a chat after Mass and for making this community the wonderful one that it is.
