As many of you may have heard, we will not have a resident community in the main building next year due to the extensive roof repairs needed in the Chaplaincy's New Wing. This Sunday, the Chaplains - and one or two members of the Newman Trust - will be hosting a Q&A session to listen to any questions and suggestions you may have about what Chaplaincy life might look like next academic year.
The Chaplaincy has offered accommodation to a number of students for a long time and we hope to resume in a year or so. The residents contribute to the life of the Chaplaincy and help maintain an atmosphere here which is welcoming, supportive and prayerful. You will have seen many of them around - setting up for breakfasts after student Masses, setting up and putting away chairs for Sunday Masses, helping in the sacristy, library and with social media (yes, this is mainly a house responsibility!) among other things. Even looking after Oliver the cat, when needed! They also help with lots of things you don't see!
Please join us if you are a member of the Chaplaincy community, even if just to listen to some ideas about how these tasks and the wider Chaplaincy life can be supported next year.
