Our favourite world-class curators of disco, funk, groove, and soul.
We're bringing Studio 54 to La Durée.
Horse Meat Disco
"I've always said, Horse Meat Disco is as close as I'll get to being in Studio 54 in the 70s."
Spinning a variety of disco favourites, from Luther to Diana, as well as their own impressive catalogue, from their new Back To Mine compilation, the Horse Meat Disco club legends will be headlining our Studio 54 stage. They've been queens of disco and dance nightlife across the globe for the past decade, recently remixing Ms Dua Lipa herself (!!!), bringing their infamous Vauxhall residency at The Eagle back to life, and even releasing their own compilation, Back To Mine. With their nights across Brooklyn, Berlin, Lisbon, and London becoming lauded Meccas for q***r disco-lovers, HMD are going to have you looking over your shoulder for Bianca on her white horse on June 18th!
HAUTE MESS
They're Oxford's favourite superstars, the world's messiest drag disco, and Cowley's most disturbing haunts... We can't wait to host the disgustingly fun Haute Mess on our Studio 54 stage to infect all of La Durée with a sickening disco fever on June 18th. Resident queens Salmonella Versace and Donna Kebabe will be supported by their messy crew of weird and wonderful freaks to bring the q***rest, messiest, bestest night of your lives, keeping us going into the early hours. They've been dancing in Bully, DJing in the Alps, partying in Dalston Superstore, and, soon, they'll be getting freaky in Master's Garden with all of you 😘.
MAFALDA
A Portuguese transport and now a London resident, Mafalda is our favourite spinner of all things tropical jazz, soul, RnB, and everything in between. A beacon of club culture, she brings unparalleled positive energy to her sets, fluidly jumping from rare records to recent releases, weaving them together to create something magical for her dancers. She has her own radio show, Tropic of Love, she's a regular on NTS, often frequents Boiler Room, and she's renowned across the globe. We can't wait to host her on June 18th to sonically reimagine Studio 54 for 2022, bringing our club into the early hours with her unique and beautiful musical magic.
Kevin McKay
Who better to trust to start off a night of disco than long time host of Brixton’s finest Disco Party “I Feel Love: Disco, Glitter & Classics”: Kevin McKay. Not only a fellow fanatic of the fluorescent era, he is a long time underground backbone of the electronic and house music scene in Glasgow as the founder of Glasgow Underground recording. A master producer who has worked with heavy hitters including Basement Jaxx, we’ll be expecting powerful mixes of classic sounds that can only find home in our resurrection of Studio 54.
