Norwood Church & Retreat Centre

Norwood Church & Retreat Centre A place for Peace, relaxation and contemplation. In late 1994 the Interior of the building was altered considerably to facilitate further its use in this way.

Norwood Chapel has been around since c.1925 and for the last few years has been converted into use as a day retreat centre. Methodist services are held there on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month at 2.30pm and the chapel is part of the Wharfedale and Aireborough circuit. For some years now Norwood Methodist Church has been used by a number of groups for Day Retreats and Conferences, one of its

main attractions being its idyllic setting which gives spectacular views across the Washburn Valley. We are now able to offer excellent facilities for groups of up to thirty people, normally on a self-catering basis, although it may be possible for catering to be provided at an additional cost. The centre, which is open all year, has a worship area, lounge, kitchen with equipment for basic self catering, toilets and good access for the disabled. The Washburn valley has been designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty, and is an ideal location for easy rambles or more strenuous walks.
