Not long now to our annual Cherry Fair! It's on Sunday 28th June in the Glebe Field in front of the church. As always there's a packed programme of fun events, activities, performances, food and stalls - something for the whole family. Gates open at 12pm but there are things happening in the morning too, including a dog show at 8am (in the cool of the day!). This Sunday (14th June) at our 11am service we'll be officially welcoming Revd. Kimonie Nicholls to our ministry team. During the service Associate Archdeacon Revd. Chris Bull will be licensing her as an Associate Priest in the Olney parish. Welcome Kimonie!

The church has entered ordinary time, note the green hangings, vestments and frontals. Yet it is in the ordinary time when we look for the green growth, our spiritual growth. In our gospel tomorrow jesus has 3 extra ordinary encounters with ordinary people, Matthew a hated tax collector, an outcast woman who has been ill for years and a little girl who has died. All of them received new life in and through him. Join us at 11am for our parish Eucharist and meet with the lord jesus.

This Thursday at 7pm there will be a celebration of corpus christi, which is Thanksgiving for the gift of holy communion, the blessed Sacrament. Join us for a fairly short sung mass this Thursday evening at 7pm.

This Sunday being a rare 5th Sunday of the month we ll be joining sisters and brothers from the soon to be Ouse valley North benefice, the new grouping for our church. Join us at 10am this Sunday at st Michael's lavendon as we celebrate holy communion on trinity Sunday together. On trinity Sunday we worship the one true and living God 🙏, revealed as father, son and holy spirit. A 6pm holy communion is available at olney parish church for those who can't make it over but do join us if you can.

This Sunday is Pentecost Sunday. Years ago it was known as whit Sunday. We recall the coming of the holy spirit upon the apostles and the birth of the holy church. We often think of the holy spirit working in powerful and miraculous ways, giving the apostles supernatural abilities. But he also works in gentle and understated ways. Look out for the signs and symbols of love and new life that he brings. Join us tomorrow for Pentecost family communion at 11am and Whitsun evensong at 6pm.

Tomorrow is the Sunday after ascension and bell Sunday. Listen out for the bells calling you to church to join us at 11am. After jesus ascended back to heaven to be with his father the disciples waited 10 days for the coming of the holy spirit. We don't have to wait for him he is already here, join us and him tomorrow at 11am

Tomorrow is ascension day when jesus returned to the father in heaven and told his friends to wait for a powerful advocate. Join us at 7pm as we celebrate his glorious Ascension under this magnificent window at the high altar. 7pm, parish church, all welcome 🤗
