The new fence at Hamsey is finished - thank you to all who sponsored this - it should give over 30 years - as did the previous one! The repaired windows are due for installation in March and the outside has its cement render removed and the surface repointed exposing the flints - it all looks very well. A lovely place for an 'end of walk' picnic.

The Service of Nine Lessons and Carols 19th December 6.00 p.m. St Peter Offham. Join us for this tradition Christmas Service and afterwards for festive refreshments.

Forthcoming events in the Parish of Hamsey

Remembrance Sunday, 14th November 10.50 a.m. We will be joined by members of the Parish Council and meet on the lawn for the wreath laying and two-minute silence. There will be an opportunity for you to lay a wreath, or cross. We then come into church for the service.

Songs of Praise on the 28th November 3.00 p.m. at St Peter Offham. You are invited to submit a favourite hymn and eight will be randomly drawn to make up a service of praise and thanksgiving. No such service would be complete without ‘tea and cake’ and there will be plenty of that at the end. If you want to enter your favourite hymn, the details and entry form are on our website or email [email protected].

Carols by Candlelight, Old Hamsey Church 12th December 3.00 p.m. Wrap up warm and bring a torch (no electricity!). The car park is the field before the bridge on the right.
