On Sunday 7th June it is the Uppingham Open Gardens event and The Gathering Place are opening up the Town Hall to offer free ploughman’s lunches to anyone who would like to come along.
There will also be some activities for children, some adult activities and an opportunity to meet others from the amazing Uppingham community.
Booking is preferable to guarantee a meal, otherwise it will be first come first served.
Book by messaging us through this app or by calling 01572 724990 during office hours.
The meal is free but any donations are welcome towards the costs.

Following on from a great CAP Life Skills course at the beginning of the year we are really excited to be offering a CAP Life Skills course from the 5th June 2026. See the info below for details and how to book a place on the course.

'What is a CAP Life Skills course' I hear you asking?

CAP Life Skills is a free, friendly and relaxed group where youe learn how to manage your finances and share top tips so you can help each other through life. Each week the group will cover different topics from how to cook healthy meals on a tight budget to how to save money on things like energy, food and other essentials.

The course takes place over 7 sessions and 1-2-1 sessions with a Life Skills Coach are also available if anyone wants further help with their situation.

You may have heard the rumours... They're all true! Oakham Baptist will soon be launching the Rutland Hub.
Building on the work we already do alongside this great community, we are excited to share this new development with you.
What is the Rutland Hub?
📌 Low cost rental spaces for the entire community: Small businesses, local initiatives, community group and charities. Whether you're looking for a small private space, a boardroom or a larger conference venue, we've got you covered.
📌 The Hub Cafe: serving high quality local produce in a warm, friendly, family environment where everyone is welcome. A great place to meet and make friends as we build community together.
📌 A drop in space for anyone who needs it. Whether you're struggling with debt, fighting addiction or feeling lonely and isolated, The Hub is your first port of call.

We're aiming to launch in August so follow us on socials for all the exciting updates as they happen.
