The EMBA Staff Team are meeting today. On the agenda today are planning for the Gathering (20th June in Retford), think about progress on our Year of Developing Leaders (CORE is coming very soon!) and get updates on our ministers and churches.

We'll be praying and planning about all the work the team do.

We might also take a new photo with Becky not kneeling on the floor!

The baptismal pool at Westdale Lane Baptist Church in Nottingham is having a busy season! following 3 baptisms before Easter, there's another one happening this weekend.

Blessings on the person being baptised and the folks at Westdale Lane.

What an amazing response! We shared about some baptisms that were happening on Easter Sunday at our EMBA churches (Friar Lane and Braunstone, Sutton St James and Burgh Le Marsh).

This opened the flood gates and you told us of Baptisms that also happened at Spalding, Connect Church Scunthorpe, Barrow, Watnall road, Central Baptist Leicester, Rothley and Melton Mowbray. Then there were more at Whetstone (and more happening tomorrow), and Alvaston in Derby!

We make that at least 29 people making a public confession of their faith in the last three weeks across the EMBA! God is good.

A remarkable Christian revival is underway in a Russian-controlled part of Moldova, despite Moscow's heavy hand. Very few foreign journalists are allowed in, but CBN News gained rare access to the Transnistria region.

Each Sunday, hundreds pack the church with many hearing the gospel message for the very first time. Pastor Semenyuk says the secret to the church's growth is simple: "We love God, we try to be very obedient to His Word and to His Spirit, and because we love people, we do whatever is possible to help people."

Semenyuk says the church often reports signs, wonders and miracles following the preaching of the gospel.

"For example, it can be cancer, and the cancer disappears. Or somebody has a problem with their vision and God fixes their vision. Deaf people can hear," he describes. "I believe all this power is in the gospel and all these miracles happen because people preach the gospel and God equips us for the gospel, to preach the gospel and make disciples."

With the context of a newly formed Mayoral Combined County Authority, TOGETHER FOR THE REGION was a pivotal moment for the churches in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.

This event demonstrated real stories of cross sector collaboration working well and changing lives.

It's also leading to strong ties with Mayor Claire Ward and new ways to care and support young children and families in the region.

We're celebrating again this week as more people in our EMBA churches tell their faith stories and declare that faith in baptism.

Tomorrow Hinckley Baptist Church will be baptising, and we have heard that Broadway Baptist Church in Derby, Queensbury Baptist Church in Nottingham and Oadby Baptist Church have had baptisms recently.
