🌙 Dhul Hijjah 1447: Virtues, Sunnah, and Special Deeds 🕋
The blessed month of Dhul Hijjah is upon us, bringing immense opportunities for blessings and rewards. These first ten days are the most spiritually significant days of the entire year. Let’s prepare ourselves to maximize our good deeds and seek Allah's pleasure.
Here are the key dates and essential practices for the upcoming days, as highlighted in the infographic:
📅 1. Eid-ul-Adha
Date: Wednesday, May 27, 2026
🐐 2. Sunnah for Those Offering Qurbani (Udhiyah)
If you are planning to offer a sacrifice (Qurbani) this year, there is an important Sunnah to revive:
The Deed: Abstain from cutting your hair, nails, or any body hair from the very start of the month— starting from this Sunday evening, May 17 (after Maghrib)—until your sacrifice is completed.
📿 3. Fasting the First 9 Days of Dhul Hijjah
Fasting during the first nine days of this month is highly recommended, with the Day of Arafah holding the ultimate reward.
Fasting Schedule: Try to fast from Monday, May 18, until Tuesday, May 26 (The Day of Arafah).
The Immense Virtue: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said:
> "I seek from Allah that fasting on the day of Arafah may atone for the sins of the preceding year and the coming year."* (Sahih Muslim)
---
The Prophet (PBUH) reminded us that there are no days in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these ten days. Alongside fasting, make sure to increase your remembrance of Allah by abundantly reciting Subhanallah, Alhamdulillah, Allahu Akbar, and Astaghfirullah.
May Allah SWT grant us the ability to maximize our worship during these blessed days and accept our Qurbani. Ameen. 🤲✨
