😃Round up 😃

Just a round up from the past month.
Huge thanks to Barbara for hosting yet another wonderful coffee morning last month. Thank-you to everyone who attended, helped, baked, donated raffle prizes;
🙌🏼£457 was raised which was gratefully received to help towards the upkeep of our wonderful church. The increasing oil prices are hitting us all hard unfortunately 😔

🧹Thank you to all the volunteers who helped to clean the church prior to the funeral of a parishioner.
We are sure you can appreciate this is no mean feat in such a large building, and some of our volunteers are around 80 years of age!

💚 We are hoping to organise a Spring Clean for the church, and for the church grounds - all help will be gratefully received, and refreshments will be served as a thank you. More information to follow..

The Allegra choir delivered a beautiful Evensong recently which was just beautiful 🥰

The Diocese visited our church last Friday to join Sturton School at the end of term service, which included recognising Barbara for her 30 years of service as a School Governor. Mrs B as she is fondly known to the children will still welcome the children into church throughout the school terms, so she will still be around school, but she felt it was time to hang up her Governor shoes.

We wish you all a peaceful Easter time, and look forward to welcoming you to Sturton Church at 10.30am on Easter Sunday 🐣

Thank you to Elizabeth for these photographs from today's traditional Plough Sunday service - it is especially relevant in a rural Church like ours ⛪️

Thank you to Rev Mark Cantrill for a wonderful service where it was particularly special to have the tractor blessed 🙏

As Elizabeth said, we all hope 2026 will be a better year for the farmers 🙏
