Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this year’s Shri Krishna Janmashtami celebrations successful. Firstly Pandit Ji for his Spirit and religious guidance. We are all eternally grateful 🙏.

A special thank you to Monika Lamba for the beautiful decoration. The Jhanki and temple setup looked excellent and added a lovely festive touch.

Thank you to all volunteers, helpers, and the management team for supporting every part of the event and ensuring smooth arrangements throughout.

A big thank you to Gurpreet and the kitchen team for preparing and serving the food.

This Janmashtami was made even more special by the children dressed as Kanha and Matki‑phod. Their presence brought joy to everyone and added a traditional charm to the celebration.

We had a fantastic turnout, and the community spirit was clearly visible across the Mandir.

Jai Shri Krishna.

Shri Krishna Janmashtami Temple Announcement
Hindu Temple & Community Centre, Nottingham

As we gather to celebrate the divine birth of Bhagwan Shri Krishna, we offer our prayers for peace, unity and wellbeing for all devotees and families in our Nottingham community. Janmashtami reminds us of Krishna’s message of dharma, compassion and courage values that continue to guide us in our daily lives and in our seva for the Mandir.

To mark this sacred day, we reflect on a verse from Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 10 (Vibhuti Yoga)

“Among lights, I am the radiant sun; among beings, I am consciousness.”

May this divine light inspire us to walk with clarity, humility and devotion.

Our celebrations will include bhajans, kirtan, midnight Janam Mahotsav, aarti and prasad. All devotees are warmly invited to join with faith and reverence.

A sincere thank you to our Temple Management Committee, Pandit Ji, volunteers and supporters whose dedication ensures the smooth running of Janmashtami every year. Your seva keeps the spirit of Krishna alive in our Mandir.

Jai Shri Krishna. Jai Kanha. Jai Nandlal.
May His blessings be with you and your family always.
