🌟 Could you be part of what’s next for SPD Kids & Youth? 🌟

We’re about to start a new term with our wonderful SPD children and young people, and we’d love someone to join us and help lead us as we grow our ministry further.

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about seeing children and young people know Jesus, grow in faith and discover their place within God’s family.

We’re looking for someone with a heart for working with children, young people and their families, who’s ready to lead our brilliant SPD Kids & Youth - St Paul's Daybrook team at St Paul's Daybrook

This September we will celebrate 5 years of growing this area of our mission at St Paul’s and now with 25 regular attendees to our weekly groups aged from 1 to 18 years old, we’re excited to be joined by someone who can lead the next phase of growing these young disciples of Christ, connecting with local families in our parish and connect school and who can bring the energy, excitement and ideas to grow this area of our outreach even more.

For our young people and families getting results today…
However it goes…relief, excitement, disappointment, or all of it at once…that feeling is all real and all yours.

But here's something to consider and hold onto alongside it:

“For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which he prepared in advance for us to do." — Ephesians 2:10

Today's results are one part of your story, there is lots more to come. Whatever they say, the plan for your life is still yours, and God's still walking it with you.

Wherever today takes you, you are held, you are known, you are loved. Walk in it. 💛

Thinking of and praying for our wonderful young people and their leaders as they join the DTI festival this week - we can't wait to hear all about it!

🙏 Sending off our SPD Kids & Youth - St Paul's Daybrook to Dreaming the Impossible!

With tents, sleeping bags, fancy dress, full car boots and open hearts, we dropped off some of our young people and leaders for a weekend at the Dreaming the Impossible youth event, and we couldn't be more excited for them!

We were so excited we forgot to take pictures of the set off 🫣

Please do join us in praying these coming days…
🤩That they have an amazing time together, making new friends and growing deeper in their friendship with God

🙌🏻For our brilliant leaders and friends who've taken them…that they'd feel supported, and be able to share their hearts, faith and expectation with the young people this weekend

🤍That every young person there would know just how much they are already everything they're created to be

🫶🏻That they'd all be kept safe, and feel truly loved…by God, and by all of us back home cheering them on

A lovely, sunny, Sunday afternoon together for Ignite and Roots looking at the 'I Am the Gate' statement and Psalm 23 - searching for sheep, getting sheep back to their pen, creating woolly sheep and creating a prayer journal.

What a wonderful One Service this morning! Liam's first time leading communion and lots of our K&Y serving by reading, writing prayers, being in the band or working the AV.

✨someone who gets that a 3 year old hearing they are loved by God, a 7 year old discovering Jesus and a 16-year-old finding their faith community are all miraculous
🙌🏻someone creative enough to dream it, collaborative enough to build it with a team, and called enough to know how to offer the right environment to reach younger people

We have a gifted and strong team, incredible kids and families, and a genuine belief that the best is still ahead.

SPD Kids & Youth - St Paul's Daybrook

As always, it's so wonderful to spend time with our kids and youth. We were all enjoying the outdoors today! Roots and Ignite continued with their 'I am' series - this week was "I am the light of the world". One of our kids shared this meant we needed to show kindness like Jesus did.

Thrive were discussing habits and how they can be good and bad and impact our faith.

(And then some fun together in church afterwards!)

While Thrive were serving, we had a super afternoon with Roots and Ignite learning about when Jesus said, "I am the bread of life." and what this means for us.

We tasted bread, made bread (from Playdoh) and had the great bakery race! Fun for all.

A lovely afternoon together for Roots and Ignite.

We learnt about God's faithfulness to the Israelites in Exodus 15-16. We collected God's provision with different challenges; found bitter water, which God made fresh; went to 'sleep' and woke up to manna surrounding us for our needs that day.

On returning to the hall, we had a wonderful time colouring, playing and creating memory story key chains. Maybe our Ignite members can remember: in the wilderness (brown bead), God said he would provide for the Israelites (green bead). He provided: water (blue bead), quail (grey bead) and manna (white bead). God kept His promises; He was faithful (gold bead).
