The North England Conference is pleased to announce that Pastor John Francis will be serving at the British Union Conference as Director of Family Ministries and Children’s Ministries.

Pastor Francis has served the North England Conference as Family Ministries Director since 2021. Throughout his time with the NEC, he has demonstrated a deep commitment to strengthening families, supporting children and promoting safe, nurturing environments across our churches and communities.

We are deeply grateful for his faithful service, leadership and valuable contribution to the mission of the North England Conference. While he will be greatly missed, we celebrate this new opportunity and trust that God will continue to guide and use him in this wider area of ministry.

Please join us in praying for Pastor Francis and his family as he prepares to begin this new role. We also invite you to continue praying for the NEC during this season of transition.

On behalf of the NEC administration, we’re pleased to update you on the outcome of the NEC Executive Committee meeting held on 23 July.

The Executive Committee voted to appoint the following individuals to serve the North England Conference:

Executive Secretary: Pastor Jacques Venter
Treasurer: Mr Sibhekinkosi Masuku

We congratulate Pastor Venter and Mr Masuku on their appointments and warmly welcome them to these important leadership responsibilities within the NEC.

Please keep them in your prayers as they prepare to serve, and continue to pray for the administration, employees, members and mission of the North England Conference. May God grant them wisdom, strength and guidance as they take up their new responsibilities.

Celebrating New Chapters: Leadership Transitions Across the NEC

The North England Conference celebrates four members of the NEC family as they step into new seasons of ministry and leadership.

Following the recent British Union Conference Session:

Pastor Emanuel Bran has been elected Executive Secretary of the British Union Conference.

Pastor Obinnaya “Obi” Iheoma has been elected President of the Scottish Mission.

Pastor Dan Majaducon has accepted a call to serve within the Southeastern Conference in Florida, USA, subject to the completion of the necessary immigration and visa requirements.

Michael Kwasi Agyei-Asare has accepted a call to serve as Chief Financial Officer of Hope Channel Canada.

We are deeply grateful for their faithful service, leadership and commitment to the mission of the Church. Although they will be greatly missed, we celebrate the new opportunities God has placed before them.

Please join us in praying for Emanuel, Obi, Dan and Michael, together with their families, as they begin these exciting new chapters. We also ask you to continue praying for the North England Conference during this season of transition.

Dr Kirk Thomas elected as the new president of the British Union Conference at the 10th Quinquennial Session held at the Atrium Hotel, Heathrow.

Today, the 375 delegates at the British Union Conference 10th Quinnenum session, held at the Atrium, Heathrow, elected Dr Kirk Thomas the new President. Dr Kirk Thomas was the President of the South England Conference and has previously served at the Evangelism Director at the Union for several years. Thomas is passionate about evangelism and says that he’s looking forward to working with the staff of the BUC office and serving the members in the territory. He is married to Carol, a radiographer and together they have four children. We wish Dr Kirk Thomas God’s richest blessings in his new role.

The North England Conference is seeking a capable, organised and mission-focused Project Manager to support the delivery and implementation of the NEC Strategic Plan 2025–2028. This strategic role will work closely with NEC leadership, pastors, departments and local churches to help turn vision into practical action across the Conference.

Location: Flexible / Hybrid (travel across NEC required)
Hours: Full-time, 1-year fixed-term contract
Salary: Up to £45,803 per annum (dependent on experience)
