With Pharaoh's army behind, the Red Sea ahead, slavery began to seem preferable to freedom. Yet when escape seemed impossible, God opened a way. Moses discovered that deliverance comes not from strength or strategy, but from being 'still.' When we feel hemmed in, God can still make a way where there is no way. Join us for worship at Norwich Citadel.

It is difficult sometimes to reconcile our belief in an all-powerful and all-compassionate God with inexplicable suffering, especially when that suffering is difficult to justify and randomly distributed. The writer to the Hebrews reminds us, ‘faith is the evidence of things not seen’. God doesn’t remove all our difficulties and challenges, but he does give us his grace, which is always enough. God’s strength is always more clearly seen against a backdrop of suffering.

Any good contract has clear performance indicators; without them, even the best strategy is destined to fail. Pentecost shows us that faith is meant to be active—the book is called Acts for a reason. Yet passion fades, and complacency creeps in, just as it did for the early believers who soon needed correction and encouragement. The example of Jesus is our ultimate spiritual benchmark. Join us for worship as we ask ourselves, have I slipped, compromised, or grown complacent? Am I still becoming like Christ, my true standard?

Over recent weeks, we’ve explored TSA’s Blueprint for Better Choices—five focus areas designed to help our mission in Norwich flourish. But there’s a flaw: a blueprint is only ever a plan. Historically, blueprints existed to test whether an idea was viable; if not, the project was abandoned. Many Corps have produced thoughtful, prayer‑filled plans over the years, yet too often they’ve remained on paper. What we need is a sixth focus area: Moving from Blueprint to Product. The challenge before us is not creating more plans, but turning good intentions into faithful action.

Children matter to God, and they must matter to us. We should ask ourselves: How can I encourage children and young people to meet with Jesus? How can I show God’s love in ways that help them respond? How can the Holy Spirit teach me to value those I influence?

It begins with remembering that we are all children in God’s eyes. When we consider where we would be without his constant, unconditional love, guidance, and forgiveness, we learn to extend that same love to the young people entrusted to us.
