Our worship is straightforward Anglican, accessible and undemonstrative. For contact details click the About Section and go to Description

Holy Communion every Sunday at 9.30 a.m. is a relaxed service with good music and a challenging sermon. Coffee is served afterwards. We are a committed and growing congregation all playing our part in helping St George's Colegate meet its role as the parish church of Norwich Over-the-Water. In late 2010 we carried out a long-overdue project to update a 1960s kitchen and toilet to provide an access

ible meeting room, thus helping to unlock the potential of the building for the next part of its history. In 2011 we managed to complete necessary repairs to external stonework and guttering. The new parish room is now well used, for example for a lunchtime or evening course during Lent, holding our 'Dirty Shirt Club' meetings, and offering a place of retreat for parents and children during the Sunday service (which can be followed on a small TV screen). Sung Compline

Just a reminder that we will be gathering for our monthly Sung Compline this evening at 9:00 pm at St George Tombland Church. A beautiful church. Sublime chant. Scriptural poignancy. Wonderful people. Prosecco and nibbles. I, personally, cannot think of a better way to spend a Friday evening! Hope to see you there!

3:30 pm Archbishop Matthew Parker Preachment Evening Prayer with preacher The Revd Malcolm Brown, former Director for Faith and Public Life for the Archbishops’ Council and an adviser to the Archbishop of Canterbury, at the Church of St Clements, Fye Bridge.

This weekend also marks the end of Christian Aid week. Christian Aid is a charity that the churches have supported over a number of years and if you would like to make a donation, Christian Aid envelopes are available at both St George, Tombland and St Giles-on-the-Hill.

This Sunday, 10th May, the Sixth Sunday of Easter and Rogation Sunday, we will be celebrating the following services:

There are also several opportunities for musical appreciation this weekend.

Tonight, Saturday 9th May, there is St Giles’ annual Wisteria Concert featuring the Cantilena Choir. Doors open at 7:00 pm and the concert begins at 7:30 pm.

Tomorrow, Sunday 10th May at 4:00 pm, UEA Baroque Ensemble are at St George Tombland.

Booking is not required for either concert and there is no charge, but in both cases there will be a retiring collection in aid of church funds.
