The Open Door Christian Fellowship Evangelical Christian Community on the heart of the South Park Estate. Sharing the love of Christ.

We started meeting as a Home Church in 2016 but, by God's grace, were enabled to obtain "The Building" in Ramsey Close in 2017. We gather at 11am on Sundays to worship together and meet on Wednesday evenings for further Bible Study and prayer. As we meet we seek to learn what the Bible teaches about the nature of Church and how we can best represent that in our local situation. Our aims are to be

a genuine family of believers that is truly welcoming to all, and to provide a safe environment where people can discover the true love of God shown through the awesome Gospel of Jesus Christ.

In the Old Testament, God reveals his name as Yahweh (often appearing as “the LORD” in the NIV). While this name is holy, its meaning is also deeply personal. Derived from the Hebrew verb “to be,” Yahweh is a promise. Translated, "He is”, signifies that God is:

✅ Ever-present: he is actively with his people in every moment.

✅ Self-existent: he is the eternal Creator who depends on no one.

✅ Faithful: It is his covenant name, a constant reminder that he keeps his promises to save, deliver, and bless.

When you see “LORD” in Scripture, remember that you're looking at the name of a God who is active and intimately involved in your life. 🙏
