Our Parish is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm: https://www.achurchnearyou.com/church/908/ We are a friendly and welcoming Anglican church working out together how to love God and love our neighbours as we love ourselves. We meet every Sunday morning at 10.30am for our weekly service. Our Vicar, Rev Julian will be happy to chat with you about arranging a baptism, wedding or a funeral. 💚Today at St Francis we celebrated the very first Festival of Creation in Christ - with sisters and brothers around the world in different denominations.

🌱We’re looking forward to spending the next few weeks focusing on the season of creation. Look out for further announcements about this culminating with a St Francis feast day on 4th October!

We’re so excited to welcome our little ones and their grown-ups back to Stay & Play for a brand-new term! 💛

And there’s a little change… we’re now meeting on TUESDAYS, 9:30–11am! 🎉

Whether you have a tiny baby, a curious toddler or an energetic 4-year-old, come along and enjoy a relaxed, friendly morning filled with:

This happy lot learnt to repair punctures back in June and there’s another opportunity at our LEARN TO FIX session, run by Heartsease Bike Kitchen TODAY from 1-3pm.

We had a great time yesterday at WildChurch! Families enjoyed a mini-beast safari, making solitary bee logs and helping to build a bug hotel on our eco field. The children’s excitement was palpable as they discovered a Brush-footed butterfly, round-shouldered orb weaver (🕷️spider), Coccinellidae beetle (🐞ladybird), Phylum arthropod (moth/butterfly🦋).

We talked about treasuring the smallest creatures in Gods great creation and the vital role they play in bringing balance to our planet - how we are all connected. We rounded-off the afternoon with caterpillar cakes and beetle sweets!

Our Curate, Gill, told us of the “Manwich” tradition in her family(you’ll have to ask her about it!) and how her brother ‘broke the rules’. Similarly, Jesus was breaking the ritual that was the Passover meal and taking ownership of the sacrifice.

She went on to relate the elements of the sensory-laden Passover meal and its promises that remain for us followers of Jesus today. As Gill poured out a glass of w**e until it overflowed - we saw how Jesus pours himself out so that our cups might overflow - that we might taste redemption and receive fullness of life.
