The rain didn't dampen spirits during a week of celebration hosted by Bishop Graham and his wife Rachel. Events included a school champions lunch on Tuesday, with over 300 people and plenty of stories about wonderful student ambassadors. The Bishop of Norwich is patron to several charities and representatives from those charities enjoyed lunch together on Thursday.

Bishop Graham and Rachel also hosted events for clergy, volunteers, staff and church officers.

The week is a way of saying thank you to people who contribute to churches, schools and communities within the Diocese of Norwich.

Today we pray for:

2nd Sunday after Trinity

Mighty God,

to you belong the mysteries of the universe.

You transform shepherds into kings,

the smallest seeds into magnificent trees,

and hardened hearts into loving one.

May your life-giving Spirit

re-create us in your image

and shape us into your purposes,

through Jesus Christ.

Amen.

β˜€πŸ“† Summer on the Mag, organised by St Mary Magdalene Church, is taking place today from 1pm to 5pm and promises something for all ages.

Visitors can enjoy family rides and activities, live music from local performers, refreshments and a chance to spend time together with neighbours and friends. This year will also see the return of the much-loved animal experience from Pakefield Pastures Mobile Care Farm, giving families the opportunity to meet a variety of animals, pet some furry friends and even walk an alpaca.

The event is open to everyone and aims to provide an accessible, welcoming space where local families can enjoy the start of summer together. As part of the day, visitors will also be invited to bring along a tin or other non-perishable food item for Gorleston Foodbank if they are able to do so, helping support local people facing hardship. Donations are entirely voluntary, but organisers hope the festival will be an opportunity not only to celebrate community, but also to care for neighbours in need.

Entry is free!
