The rood screen is one of the finest examples in England. Built c 1453.

God of unity and truth, encourage the fervent, enlighten the doubtful and bring back the wayward.

Gather us all together in mutual love, so that our prayer may be pleasing to you.

Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God for ever and ever.

⛪️ Churches across the UK are being invited to take part in Disability Awareness Sunday 2026, with the release of a free, creative new resource from Christian charity Through the Roof (www.throughtheroof.org).

To mark the day, there will be a special online Church of England service with a focus on disability awareness on Sunday 20th September.
