He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said. Come, see the place where He was lying.

Sometimes we wonder why God doesn’t open that door until we see it from the other side. Not every door should be walked through. Sometimes that closed door is God’s grace.

A good set of Bible verses to start off New Years and to remind us where our hope lays!

*********************

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭46:1‭-‬3‬ ‭(NASB1995‬‬)

[1] God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. [2] Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change And though the mountains slip into the heart of the sea; [3] Though its waters roar and foam, Though the mountains quake at its swelling pride.

May the fact of the first Coming of Jesus Christ give you hope this Christmas season!

“Forgiveness is not a matter of exonerating people who have hurt you. They may not deserve exoneration. Forgiveness means cleansing your soul of the bitterness of ‘what might have been,’ ‘what should have been,’ and ‘what didn’t have to happen.’ Someone has defined forgiveness as ‘giving up all hope of having had a better past.’ What’s past is past and there is little to be gained by dwelling on it. There are perhaps no sadder people then the men and women who have a grievance against the world because of something that happened years ago and have let that memory sour their view of life ever since.”

The Norwich Seventh-day Adventist Church offers their sincere condolences to the Royal Family and Palace on the passing of our dearly beloved Queen.

We pray that the faith she exhibited so gently, yet with an unmistakable passion, might also bless and comfort your hearts at this time of grieving and sorrow.

We point to the hope the Bible gives us in these times:

"But we do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve as do the rest who have no hope.
For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus.
For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep.
For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.
Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord.
Therefore comfort one another with these words."

1 Thessalonians 4:13‭-‬18 NASB1995
